Barcelona has established itself as 5th city in Europe in investment in start-ups, accounting for 58% of all investment in the Spanish state.

Barcelona (Catalunya) has managed to consolidate at European level and entrepreneurial ecosystem of start-ups. So concludes the latest edition of Startup Ecosystem Overview report, prepared by the Mobile World Capital, and noted that in the Catalan capital was invested in 2017 about 453 million euros more than double the 197 million in the previous year,  a figure that represents 58% of the investment made in the entire Spanish state , an increase of 2 percentage points.

In this sense, Barcelona is also the city state which concentrates most entrepreneurial companies or start-ups, namely  34% of the total , and reaffirmed in the 5th position in the European ranking in relation to the preferences of investors, only behind London, Paris, Berlin and Dublin -all capitals of State and ahead of Madrid.

At the sectoral level, the weight of mobile and e-commerce in the city is ratified, since they represent the two 84.9% investment in Barcelona. Also, the entrepreneurial community provides jobs for more than 12,0000 people.Of these, 23% of workers come from outside the state and 14% of the founders are international. In this sense, among entrepreneurs of start-ups Europe,  Barcelona is considered the 3rd city of the most attractive projects to develop innovative technology and European Union.

On the other hand, the Four Years From Now (4YFN) launching pad for start-ups this year celebrates its 5th edition and will be present at Mobile World Congress, it has made some forecasts about the event this 2018 . it will feature lectures on various topics, focusing on inspirational topics, Big Data and transformation tools for the industry. Estimates an influx of 19,000 visitors, with 650 exhibitors (this year have been incorporated representatives of America and Asia), more than 700 investors, senior lecturers and conferences local start-TUPs.
