Lemon juice and 8 other natural ways to stop smoking

Millions feel helplessly addicted to snuff, however, you can not be found at the local pharmacy, but also in the stall selling fruit from his supermarket.

The reasons to quit smoking far outweigh the  ways  effective  to do so. Even with recent revelations that snuff is contaminated with the  radioisotope polonium - 210 highly  carcinogenic  , addictive control that keeps millions of smokers worldwide who already know what causes premature death and cancer is much more powerful than the desire self - preservation. seem.
This is the reason why  natural interventions  and effective  smoking cessation  are as necessary today and we are pleased to report a new study involving a solution can not be found at your local pharmacy, but in the stall fruit locally.
In a compelling study published in the  Journal of the Medical Association of Thailand  entitled "The  effectiveness of fresh lime to quit smoking ,  "  [i] researchers from the Department of Medicine, Srinakharinwirot University, Thailand tested the effectiveness of fresh lime as a habit to quit. Aid compared with nicotine gum.
100 regular smokers of 18 or more who were willing to quit entered in a random six - month controlled trial, which received fresh lime (47) or nicotine gum (53) during the course of the study. Reduction of smoking was confirmed by measuring exhaled carbon monoxide (CO) and measures 9-12 weeks were the primary outcome. The severity of desire was also measured using a visual analog scale.
The test results showed no significant difference in abstinence rates between groups during weeks 9 to 12, although they noted that  "the withdrawal of the prevalence of 7 days at week 4 users fresh lime was statistically "; lower than those using nicotine gum (p = 0.04 38.3% vs. 58.5%) significant. They also found that users of fresh lime tended to report more intense cravings that nicotine gum group, but found that the amount of cravings did not differ significantly between groups.
The report concluded,
"The fresh lime can be used effectively as an aid to quit smoking, but not as good as nicotine gum to reduce cravings".
Lime
Lime  , of course, is a readily available alternative, nontoxic to the gum with nicotine, and physiologically has a number of "secondary benefits" including alkalization of tissues, which in principle are more acidic in snuff consumers. It is also an antiinfective agent, has been shown to have significant antimicrobial activity against multiple strains of E. coli resistant to drugs  [ii]  and inhibits survival of Vibrio cholera, the pathogen that contributes to cholera in food; [iii]  another good 'secondary benefit' considering that smokers often have compromised immunity.
Other natural supports evidence-based smoking cessation include:
  • St. John 's wort  : There is pre - clinical evidence that St. John 's wort is therapeutic in nicotine addiction. [xiii]  [xiv]    [Note: St. John 's wort can interact with a wide range of drugs, and should be used under the supervision of a health professional licensed]
