Are the FDA and “Big Pharma” In on A Conspiracy Against Kratom?

No one can deny the fact that kratom remains in the news for all the wrong reasons throughout the year. The popularity of this plant has grown so much that the market worth of this plant stands concrete at $1.13 billion. Owing to its controversial legal status, kratom is mostly sold in the black market and through online platforms. This is the main reason why so many experts suggest the current net worth figure as “vague” and “underrated”.
Kratom is a tropical plant that gained popularity in the early 19th century when people started using it for recreational purposes. The interesting thing to note about this plant is it has no medical evidence in its support. However, more than 50 million people consume it in various forms around the globe.
Why do some people want this plant to be banned?
People who use kratom claim it has several health benefits. Some of the common claims made by people are; it helps in treating anxiety and depression, treats insomnia, cures arthritis, provides relaxation to the brain and is ideal for weight loss. On the other hand, critics point out it is important to weigh the proven cons of using this plant.
There are many toxic side effects of kratom that is why many experts want this drug to be banned. Some of the common side effects are nausea, vomiting, constipation, dry mouth, abdominal pain, kidney failure, hallucinations and even death. Secondly, the problem with kratom is, people often consume more than what they are supposed to. They purchase kratom in bulk from online platforms such as the golden monk, kratom crazy and Happy Hippo Herbals, not even realizing that excess of this herb is dangerous.
Is FDA and Big Pharma running the shots behind banning kratom?
There’s no denying of the FDA’s interest in working against kratom. Federal agencies that have declared a war against opioid crisis are also swooning over banning this herb. Especially when the drug enforcement agency decided to decriminalize the plant back in 2015, kratom fans flocked the streets with anger and protested. This is what compelled the food and drug administration to shelve the idea of banning a plant that is so important for more than ten million Americans.
Another intriguing thing to note is that the FDA, which is controlled by the Big Pharma, has now joined hands with DEA that has plans to ban kratom again. Now it’s only up to the activists as to how they force the government to give up the thought of wiping out kratom. According to Washington Post’s article, FDA issued a warning and acknowledged kratom as “deadly”. Furthermore the report also said that the frequent use of this drug caused 36 deaths.
Kratom has several compounds that are not identified as healthy by medical experts. This is the main reason why doctors and practitioners suggest people keep away from it. However, the truth be told, the popularity of kratom has grown so fast, a normal bill passed by the government won’t be able to wipe out this plant until online platforms and black markets don’t stop selling it.

Bayer’s Stock Has Now Lost 44% of Its Value Since Buying Monsanto

Bayer’s stock price fell to a seven year low this week, after the company lost a $2 billion lawsuit over claims that the weedkiller Roundup causes cancer. Roundup weedkiller is a product that was developed by the controversial biotech corporation Monsanto, but the company was purchased by Bayer for $66 Billion in 2016. Along with the acquisition of the extremely profitable company, Bayer has also inherited a long list of lawsuits and reputation problems.
Bayer’s stock has been in a freefall all year, as more bad news about Roundup reaches the public. The company’s stock is down by more than 44% since the acquisition of Monsanto.
Roundup contains a chemical called glyphosate, which has been shown in many studies to cause cancer. Despite these findings, the EPA has concluded that the chemical is safe, citing other contradictory studies. However, as an Intercept investigation revealed, the vast majority of those contradictory studies were commissioned by Monsanto. The data that the EPA was using to determine the safety of glyphosate was actually provided by Monsanto, which represents an obvious conflict of interest.
As the expenses from the Roundup lawsuits began to mount, Bayer shareholders began to question the wisdom of the Monsanto acquisition.
Earlier this year, Bayer shareholder Christian Strenger, filed a motion of no confidence in Bayer’s board complaining of negligence on the part of Bayer CEO Werner Baumann in the Monsanto acquisition.

Strenger pointed to the “almost complete failure to deliver the key objectives presented by Baumann in May 2016 for the Monsanto acquisition.”
“Mr. Baumann from Bayer always refers to 800 opinions that glyphosate is a safe product. But the big issue is how was it applied, and was it sold properly with sufficient warning signs. [Bayer] should have insisted. These were not military secrets. Bayer should have told Monsanto, ‘Either you get the DOJ to permit disclosure, or we’re not going to proceed with the transaction,‘” Strenger said, according to Fortune.
Strenger accused the decision-makers at Bayer of being “lenient with a proper analysis of the legal situation.”
Among other complaints, the no confidence motion pointed to the elimination of 12,000 jobs at the end of November 2018, which is believed to be a result of the Monsanto acquisition. This is especially frustrating to shareholders considering that Bayer CEO Werner Baumann promised that the Monsanto deal would create more jobs at the company.
A spokesperson for Bayer has dismissed these concerns stating that the company’s board of directors “performed this risk assessment based on an information and update process which was in all respects adequate for an acquisition of such a scale.”
The spokesperson went on to say that, “Of course, in the context of the acquisition, the board of management also reviewed the risks connected with Monsanto’s glyphosate business. This risk assessment clearly showed that, when used as directed, the products of Monsanto containing glyphosate are safe. Based on the views held by regulatory authorities worldwide and scientists, the board of management assessed the legal risks in connection with the use of glyphosate as low.”
Last week, the French newspaper Le Monde, reported that Bayer hired the public relations firm Fleishman-Hillard to help them launch a counter-offensive against media critics. The firm reportedly compiled a list of over 200 journalists, politicians, and scientists, with detailed descriptions of their opinions on Monsanto.  The lists also included the phone numbers, addresses and, personal interests of these individuals. This type of activity is illegal under the European data protection law, so Bayer has since distanced themselves from the firm, and made an apology where they attempted to place responsibility on the firm.

Dear America, You Cannot Be Pro-Freedom and Pro-Forced Vaccinations at The Same TimeNo, you don't have a "right" to demand that others are vaccinated.

Spread the love

(FEE) It’s hard to think of a more fundamental right than the right to determine what happens to one’s own body. Forcing someone to undergo medical treatment against their will violates this most basic of rights—the right to be free from physical assault. Yet even some libertarians have jumped on the mandatory vaccination bandwagon, arguing that one person not taking every possible precaution against contracting a disease constitutes an assault against another. But this line of thinking requires some very tortured logic.

What Rights?

To begin with, nobody has a “right” to a germ-free environment outside of their own property (and good luck establishing one there). Proponents of vaccine mandates assert this “right” as if it is a long-standing social or legal norm, but it is not. Human beings have been living among each other for millennia, and there has never been a widely asserted right to freedom from any and all pathogens at others’ expense.
There has, historically, been a widely held and asserted expectation of quarantine in the case of exceptionally dangerous illnesses. However, this is not at all what the proponents of mandated vaccines are calling for. Quarantine is simply the demand that those who are already infected with a disease remain isolated in their homes or elsewhere until they are no longer able to infect others.
This is profoundly different from what the pro-mandate crowd demands: that those who are not infected undergo a medical procedure to minimize their chances of becoming infected. This is a much more intrusive demand and a potentially dangerous one.

Seriously? Measles?

Furthermore, measles—the scariest thing the mandate pushers can come up with—is not even on the list of federally quarantinable diseases. And rightly so, as it hardly qualifies as an exceptionally dangerous disease in the developed world.
Long before the vaccine was available, the mortality rate had fallen to around 1 in 10,000 cases, and it was widely considered to be a benign childhood illness that nearly everyone contracted.
So what has changed in the last few years? How is it that all of a sudden, measles has gone from a disease not even worthy of mandatory quarantine for the infected to one that has generated near-mass hysteria and demands for the far more intrusive forced medical intervention against those who are not infected?

What About Herd Immunity?

In 2016, then-Libertarian presidential candidate Gary Johnson announced that he had reversed his position on vaccine mandates and now supported them. The reason? Someone told him about herd immunity:
…I’ve come to find out that without mandatory vaccines, the vaccines that would in fact be issued would not be effective. So … it’s dependent that you have mandatory vaccines so that every child is immune. Otherwise, not all children will be immune even though they receive a vaccine.
Had Johnson looked just a little more deeply, he would have learned that the theory of vaccine-induced herd immunity is not as solid as its proponents would have us believe. The idea was first put forward by A.W. Hedrich in 1933, based on his observation that measles outbreaks were suppressed when 68 percent of children had contracted the measles virus. This observation had nothing to do with vaccination, as the measles vaccine had not even been developed yet.
This is an important distinction for a few reasons. Perhaps most importantly: While the immunity conferred by contracting measles lasts a lifetime, that conferred by vaccination does not. What this means is that a 90 percent vaccination rate does not equate to 90 percent of the population having immunity. As Dr. Russell Blaylock says:
It was not until relatively recently that it was discovered that most of these vaccines lost their effectiveness 2 to 10 years after being given. What this means is that at least half the population, that is the baby boomers, have had no vaccine-induced immunity against any of these diseases for which they had been vaccinated very early in life. In essence, at least 50% or more of the population was unprotected for decades.
If we listen to present-day wisdom, we are all at risk of resurgent massive epidemics should the vaccination rate fall below 95%. Yet, we have all lived for at least 30 to 40 years with 50% or less of the population having vaccine protection. That is, herd immunity has not existed in this country for many decades and no resurgent epidemics have occurred. Vaccine-induced herd immunity is a lie used to frighten doctors, public-health officials, other medical personnel, and the public into accepting vaccinations.
The larger point, though, is that even if the idea of vaccine-induced herd immunity did hold up to scrutiny, it would at best be a positive externality—not something that anyone has the right to demand from others at gunpoint.

But What about Those Who Cannot Be Vaccinated?

Others have written more comprehensively on the fallacy of using medically fragile people as an excuse for forcing everyone to be vaccinated. So I’ll just say this: Nobody has an obligation to vaccinate themselves or their children in order to protect the most medically vulnerable among us.
My own daughter is intellectually disabled and suffers from seizures. Much of the outside world is a dangerous and scary place where she could easily be badly hurt or worse. Yet I would never dream of using force to compel those around me to make the world safe for my daughter. Keeping her safe is my job and my husband’s job—not everyone else’s.
I doubt that those who promote this line of thinking have really thought through the implications of what they are asking for: requiring everyone to alter their lives and actions in order to accommodate the most medically fragile, at all times and in all spaces. What they are demanding has implications far beyond vaccines.

Adults Too?

Why should you and I and the vast majority of all adults in the US be exempt from the requirement to be completely up to date on all of the vaccines the CDC and its pharmaceutical industry cronies have decided we should have? Are we not also committing aggression every day we go out in public, exposing others to diseases we do not yet have but might possibly contract?
Of course, if disease transmission is really what the proponents of vaccine mandates are worried about, then they should also demand that those recently vaccinated with live-virus vaccines not be allowed in schools or any public spaces. And if they aren’t demanding this, then one has to wonder whether the transmission of disease really is their primary concern.
The bottom line, though, has nothing to do with the science behind vaccines, nor with herd immunity, nor competing claims about vaccine safety and vaccine harm. Nor does it have to do with how serious diseases like measles are or are not. It is simply this: You do not have the right to force a medical procedure on another person.
This is libertarian thinking 101. You are free to do whatever you wish with what is yours—and other people are not yours. You do not own them, and you do not get to make decisions over their bodies and their lives. You may exclude them from your property if you wish, but you may not force them to undergo medical (or non-medical) procedures against their will. You don’t even have to be a libertarian to understand this. The right to bodily integrity, to be free from assault, is the most fundamental of all human rights. If it is not protected, then no other rights even matter.

Government Research Confirms Measles Outbreaks Are Transmitted By The Vaccinated

IN BRIEF

  • The Facts:Research reveals that a vaccinated individual not only can become infected with measles but can also spread it to others who are also vaccinated against it – disproving that multiple doses of MMR are 97 percent effective.
  • Reflect On:A lot of awareness has been created regarding the pharmaceutical industry and the harm their products are doing. Why, when it comes to vaccines, are we still hesitant to even look at the evidence?
One of the fundamental errors in thinking about measles vaccine effectiveness is that receipt of measles-mumps-rubella (MMR) vaccine equates to bona fide immunity against measles virus. Indeed, it is commonly claimed by health organizations like the CDC that receiving two doses of the MMR vaccine is “97 percent effective in preventing measles,” despite a voluminous body of contradictory evidence from epidemiology and clinical experience.
This erroneous thinking has led the public, media and government alike to attribute the origin of measles outbreaks, such as the one reported at Disney in 2015 (and which lead to the passing of SB277 that year, stripping vaccine exemptions for all but medical reasons in California), to the non-vaccinated, even though 18% of the measles cases occurred in those who had been vaccinated against it — hardly the vaccine’s two-dose claimed “97% effectiveness.” The vaccine’s obvious fallibility is also indicated by the fact that that the CDC now requires two doses.
But the problems surrounding the failing MMR vaccine go much deeper. First, they carry profound health risks (over 25 of which we have indexed here: MMR vaccine dangers), including increased autism risk, which a senior CDC scientist confessed his agency covered up, which do not justify the risk, given that measles is not only not deadly but confers significant health benefits that have been validated in the biomedical literatureSecond, not only does the MMR vaccine fail to consistently confer immunitybut those who have been “immunized” with two doses of MMRvaccine can still transmit the infection to others — a phenomena no one is reporting on in the rush to blame the non- or minimally-vaccinated for the outbreak.

MMR Vaccinated Can Still Spread Measles

Three years ago, a groundbreaking study published in the journal Clinical Infectious Diseases, whose authorship included scientists working for the Bureau of Immunization, New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, and the National Center for Immunization and Respiratory Diseases, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Atlanta, GA, looked at evidence from the 2011 New York measles outbreak that individuals with prior evidence of measles vaccination and vaccine immunity were both capable of being infected with measles and infecting others with it (secondary transmission).
This finding even aroused the attention of mainstream news reporting, such as this Sciencemag.org article from April 2014 titled “Measles Outbreak Traced to Fully Vaccinated Patient for First Time.”
Titled, “Outbreak of Measles Among Persons With Prior Evidence of Immunity, New York City, 2011,” the groundbreaking study acknowledged that, “Measles may occur in vaccinated individuals, but secondary transmission from such individuals has not been documented.”
In order to find out if measles vaccine compliant individuals are capable of being infected and transmitting the infection to others, they evaluated suspected cases and contacts exposed during a 2011 measles outbreak in NYC. They focused on one patient who had received two doses of measles-containing vaccine and found that,
“Of 88 contacts, four secondary cases were confirmed that had either two doses of measles-containing vaccine or a past positive measles IgG antibody. All cases had laboratory confirmation of measles infection, clinical symptoms consistent with measles, and high avidity IgG antibody characteristic of a secondary immune response.”
Their remarkable conclusion:
“This is the first report of measles transmission from a twice vaccinated individual. The clinical presentation and laboratory data of the index were typical of measles in a naïve individual. Secondary cases had robust anamnestic antibody responses. No tertiary cases occurred despite numerous contacts. This outbreak underscores the need for thorough epidemiologic and laboratory investigation of suspected measles cases regardless of vaccination status.”
Did you follow that? A twice-vaccinated individual, from a NYC measles outbreak, was found to have transmitted measles to four of her contacts, two of which themselves had received two doses of MMR vaccine and had prior presumably protective measles IgG antibody results.
This phenomenon — the MMR vaccine compliant infecting other MMR vaccine compliant cases – has been ignored by health agencies and the media. This data corroborates the possibility that, during the Disney measles outbreak the previously vaccinated (any of the 18% known to have become infected) may have become infected or already were shedding measles from a vaccine and transmitted measles to both the vaccinated and the non-vaccinated.
Moreover, these CDC and NYC Bureau of Immunization scientists identified a ‘need’ for there to be “thorough epidemiologic and laboratory investigation of suspected measles cases regardless of vaccination status,” i.e. investigators must rule out vaccine failure and infection by fully infected individuals as contributing to measles outbreaks.
Instead, what’s happening now is that the moment a measles outbreak occurs, a reflexive ‘blame the victim’ attitude is assumed, and the media and/or health agencies report on the outbreak as if it has been proven the afflicted are under or non-vaccinated – often without sufficient evidence to support these claims.  Clearly stakeholders in the vaccine/non-vaccine debate need to look at the situation through the lens of the evidence itself and not science by proclamation or pleas to authority.
Amazingly, the truth has been suppressed for decades. Twenty years ago, the MMR vaccine was found to infect virtually all of its recipients with measles. Scientists working at the CDC’s National Center for Infectious Diseases, funded by the WHO and the National Vaccine Program, discovered something truly disturbing about the MMR vaccine: it leads to detectable measles infection in the vast majority of those who receive it. The MMR vaccine’s manufacturer Merck’s own product insert, the MMR can cause measles inclusion body encephalitis (MIBE), a rare but potentially lethal form of brain infection with measles. Learn more by reading my article on the topic, “The Vaccinated Spreading Measles: WHO, Merck, CDC Documents Confirm.”

Stop Blaming A Failing Vaccine on Failure to Vaccinate

The moral of the story is that you can’t blame non-vaccinating parents for the morbidity and mortality of infectious diseases when vaccination does not result in immunity and does not keep those who are vaccinated from infecting others. In fact, outbreaks secondary to measles vaccine failure and shedding in up to 99% immunization compliant populations have happened for decades. Here are just a few examples reported in the medical literature:
  • 1985, Texas, USA: According to an article published in the New England Journal of Medicine in 1987, “An outbreak of measles occurred among adolescents in Corpus Christi, Texas, in the spring of 1985, even though vaccination requirements for school attendance had been thoroughly enforced.” They concluded: “We conclude that outbreaks of measles can occur in secondary schools, even when more than 99 percent of the students have been vaccinated and more than 95 percent are immune.”1
  • 1985, Montana, USA: According to an article published in the American Journal of Epidemiology titled, “A persistent outbreak of measles despite appropriate prevention and control measures,” an outbreak of 137 cases of measles occurred in Montana. School records indicated that 98.7% of students were appropriately vaccinated, leading the researchers to conclude: “This outbreak suggests that measles transmission may persist in some settings despite appropriate implementation of the current measles elimination strategy.”2
  • 1988, Colorado, USA: According to an article published in the American Journal of Public Health in 1991, “early 1988 an outbreak of 84 measles cases occurred at a college in Colorado in which over 98 percent of students had documentation of adequate measles immunity … due to an immunization requirement in effect since 1986. They concluded: “…measles outbreaks can occur among highly vaccinated college populations.”3
  • 1989, Quebec, Canada: According to an article published in the Canadian Journal of Public Health in 1991, a 1989 measles outbreak was “largely attributed to an incomplete vaccination coverage,” but following an extensive review the researchers concluded “Incomplete vaccination coverage is not a valid explanation for the Quebec City measles outbreak.4
  • 1991-1992, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil: According to an article published in the journal Revista da Sociedade Brasileira de Medicina Tropical, in a measles outbreak from March 1991 to April 1992 in Rio de Janeiro, 76.4% of those suspected to be infected had received measles vaccine before their first birthday.5
  • 1992, Cape Town, South Africa: According to an article published in the South African Medical Journal in 1994, “[In] August 1992 an outbreak occurred, with cases reported at many schools in children presumably immunised.” Immunization coverage for measles was found to be 91%, and vaccine efficacy found to be only 79%, leading them to conclude that primary and secondary vaccine failure was a possible explanation for the outbreak.6
There are plenty of other examples of the measles vaccine’s abject failure, including a study published in PLoS titled, “Difficulties in eliminating measles and controlling rubella and mumps: a cross-sectional study of a first measles and rubella vaccination and a second measles, mumps, and rubella vaccination,” which brought to light the glaring ineffectiveness of two measles vaccines (measles–rubella (MR) or measles–mumps–rubella (MMR) ) in fulfilling their widely claimed promise of preventing outbreaks in highly vaccine compliant populations. We dove deeply into the implications of this study in our article titled, “Why Is China Having Measles Outbreaks When 99% Are Vaccinated?
The most recent example was released on the CDC’s website today in a report titled, “Measles Outbreak in a Highly Vaccinated Population — Israel, July–August 2017,” where they describe a patient zero who had received three doses of MMR. Not unsurprisingly the CDC does not draw the obvious conclusion that the MMR vaccine failed, rather, that they should consider the measles a possibility when they examine a patient with fever and a rash even when the patient is vaccinated.
These seven outbreaks are by no means exhaustive of the biomedical literature, but illustrate just how misled the general public is about the effectiveness of measles vaccines, and the CDC’s vaccination agenda in general.  No amount of historical ignorance will erase the fact that vaccination does not equal immunization; antigenicity does not equal immunogenicity. Nor are the unintended, adverse effects of MMR and other vaccines in the CDC schedule accurately portrayed, precluding access to the medical ethical principle of informed consent.

The End of Factory Farming?

THE COMPANY BEHIND AIRBNB AND DROPBOX IS ABOUT TO DISMANTLE MEAT AND DAIRY

Y Combinator—the company that helped launch AirBnb and Dropbox—is now focusing on getting clean-meat startups to market.

Startup accelerator company Y Combinator—which was instrumental to the success of startups AirBnb and Dropbox—is shifting its focus to help clean-meat startups disrupt the animal agriculture industry. Y Combinator (which incubates companies in their early stages and provides funding, business tools, and networking opportunities to help them succeed) recently partnered with food advocacy group Good Food Institute (GFI) to help attract companies working to create alternatives to traditional animal agriculture, and listed “cellular agriculture and clean meat” as one of its top funding priorities. “[…] We actually believe that clean meat could replace nearly all animal meat at some point,” Gustaf Alstromer, a partner at Y Combinator, told Fast Company. “We think that if it works, [clean meat] will revolutionize the entire meat industry, and we think that it will probably be entrepreneurs and startups that build the companies that produce that meat.” Y Combinator’s graduating summer class was comprised of 132 startups, including Seattle Food Tech (which makes plant-based chicken nuggets), Spero Foods (which developed plant-based cheese and egg replacer Scramblit), vegan delivery service Mylk Guys, and Cytera CellWorks (which specializes in creating cell structures for clean-meat production). “No one was talking about clean meat or anything like this even three or four years ago,” Alstromer said. “There’s a wave of interest coming right now, and we see that in our applications.”

5 Best Foods And Teas For Healthy Lungs

by EraOfLight
eat light eat healthy eraoflight
“Breath is the finest gift of nature. Be grateful for this wonderful gift,” says Amit Ray, the Indian author who has spent a lifetime advocating yoga, meditation and other spiritual practices.
Breathing is so fundamental that we hardly need to think of it, but when it is impaired, it’s hard to think of anything else. Unfortunately, respiratory ailments like asthma, COPD and bronchitis are all too common these days. Air pollution, allergic triggers, genetic factors and lifestyle choices (such as lack of exercise, poor diet and smoking) can cause or exacerbate diseases of the lung.
Fortunately, there are well-established natural ways of promoting respiratory health. After all, lung function is influenced not just by the air you breathe, but also by the foods you eat.
In fact, many herbs, spices, teas, fruits and vegetables are packed with phytonutrients that can help expel excess mucus, counteract lung inflammation and neutralize oxidative stress (which can undermine lung health on the cellular level). With all this in mind, here are five of the best foods and teas you can consume to breathe easier.
1. Oregano
You’ve probably heard about the benefits of taking oregano oil at the first signs of a cold or flu. In fact, the spice contains a powerful array of nutrients that support immunity broadly, as well as potent antimicrobial compounds that can neutralize bacteria and other microorganisms.
The herb also contains natural decongestants like carvacrol and rosmarinic acid, which can help thin out excess mucus and improve airflow. You can add freshly chopped oregano (or the dried spice) to homemade chicken soup for a natural remedy that’s safe and effective for treating cold, flu and bronchitis symptoms. Similarly, adding two to three drops of oregano oil to your vaporizer can help alleviate nasal congestion and combat lung infections.
2. Pineapple
Pineapple is a fruit loaded with bromelain, which is a natural enzyme that helps the lungs flush out toxins. In addition to helping reduce mucus and phlegm, bromelain is a natural anti-inflammatory compound that can combat sinus infections while promoting lung health more broadly.
Here’s a quick and easy recipe for a tropical smoothie that can help you breathe easier. By the way, by adding peppermint oil you’ll be getting the throat soothing and vapor relief of methanol too.

3. Turmeric
Studies have shown that compounds in turmeric (most notably curcumin) can help reduce inflammation related to COPD. Indeed, one study even suggested that turmeric has the potential to inhibit and slow the progression of lung cancer. Other lung-healthy herbs and veggies include ginger, garlic and onions.
Here’s a turmeric tea recipe that can help you clean and detox your lungs:

4. Garlic
Garlic is loaded with a compound called allicin, which is a natural antibiotic and anti-inflammatory agent. Traditionally, the herb has been used to treat asthma and other respiratory ailments. Now, modern research confirms that it can alleviate breathing problems in two ways.
First, garlic helps break down histamine, which is the chemical the body produces in response to allergic triggers. Second, garlic stimulates the production of prostacyclins, which are compounds that help keep the airways open.
Here’s a quick recipe for making your own asthma-fighting garlic milk.

5. Olive oil
According to recent research, scientists believe a compound in olive oil called oleic acid helps the body cope with the kind of physical stress that air pollutants cause. As Dr. Norman H. Edelman, Senior Scientific Advisor for the American Lung Association explains, “[Oleic acid] helps fight the primary effects of pollutants, which is inflammation and the bad molecules that come from inflammation, which are the oxidants.”
For a breath of fresh air, try this salmon recipe that uses lung-healthy ingredients including olive oil, garlic, oregano,  pepper and vitamin C-rich lemon juice!

Trump’s DOJ Criminally Charges 76 Doctors, 23 Pharmacists, 19 Nurses

by EraOfLight

President Trump is draining the “medical swamp.” The U.S. health care system is plagued by rampant fraud, abuse and profiteering carried out by dishonest doctors and pharmacists. In working to combat the rampant fraud, the DOJ has announced an unprecedented crackdown on medical fraud, charging over 600 people with criminal activities that involved over $2 billion medical fraud.
U.S. Attorney General Jeff Sessions delivered prepared remarks, saying, “This year we are charging 601 people, including 76 doctors, 23 pharmacists, 19 nurses, and other medical personnel with more than $2 billion in medical fraud. In this latest operation, with the help of our fabulous partners at HHS, we have charged another 162 people—including 32 doctors—with the illegal distribution of opioids. This is the most doctors, the most medical personnel, and the most fraud that the Department of Justice has ever taken on in any single law enforcement action.  This is the most defendants we’ve ever charged with health care fraud.  It’s also the most opioid-related fraud defendants we’ve ever charged in a single enforcement action.”
One doctor, explained Sessions, defrauded Medicare of over $112 million, “distributing 2.2 million unnecessary doses of drugs like oxycodone and fentanyl.” (See Opioids.news for more coverage of opioid drugs. Another site launching soon is BadDoctors.news.)
Yet more proof that the failed pharma-central health care system is a massive criminal drug racket
This massive sweep of criminal charges shows that, in many ways, the U.S. health care system is a massive criminal drug racket run by criminal doctors and drug companies who all profit from the mass poisoning of the American people. The fact that 76 doctors and 23 pharmacists are named in these indictments is further proof that many so-called “health care” professionals are nothing but glorified drug dealers.
“We are sending a clear message to criminals across the country,” added Sessions. “[W]e will find you. We will bring you to justice.  And you will pay a very high price for what you have done.”
#MAGA has arrived on the health care scene, and the DOJ is mean as a wolverine when it comes to healthcare fraud.
Now, if we could only get Sessions to issue 600+ indictments for the Clinton Foundation racketeering fraud and other deep state swamp creatures, then we’d really be making progress in this country.
It’s also time for Sessions to join the 21st century and de-list cannabis from being a Schedule I drug.

Avoiding Toxins and Removing Them from Your Body

by EraOfLight

Today’s society is filled with a myriad of modern conveniences. A simple visit to a department store or supermarket fills our every need. It is a no-fuss world with everything packaged neatly, ready for use. Even the foods we eat are prepackaged, necessitating only insertion in a microwave and, voila! we have a ready made meal. Unbeknownst to many, however, these wonderful modern conveniences come with a price: they often contain toxic ingredients which can seriously compromise our health.
In today’s world, it is almost impossible not to come into contact with toxins. We normally associate toxins with industrial chemicals, pesticides and the like. Yet, toxins can be found in the everyday products that we depend upon. For example, food, personal care products, clothing, furniture, and cookware are just some of the items used daily that contain toxins. A visit to the doctor or dentist can be another source of toxicity. Just a few examples of how toxins enter our bodies at a physician’s office are vaccines, prescription medicines, and amalgam fillings. A report compiled by the CDC in 2009 stated that there are at least 212 toxins lodged in human tissues and circulating throughout our systems, many of which are carcinogens.
The body responds to toxicity in various ways, which include:
*Acne and other skin problems.
 *Allergies
 *Food intolerance
 *Bad breath and body odor
 *Flatulence
 *Constipation or diarrhea
*Weakened immune system, resulting in frequent colds and infections
 *Frequent headaches
 *Lethargy
 *Back pain
*Pain in liver and/or gall bladder
 *PMS
 *Serious illness, such as cancer
There are several ways to prevent toxicity and to help the body rid itself of these unwelcome guests. The first one is by eating healthy, non-toxic foods. Processed foods, fast foods, junk food, sodas, etc. should be eliminated. Other foods to avoid include: caffeine, alcohol, sugar, canned food, sugar, red meat, pork, fried food, and white rice.
A toxic-free diet should consist mainly of raw fruits and vegetables, whole grains, legumes, raw nuts and seeds, fish, herbs, and herbal teas.
Use care when buying personal care products, including shampoos and makeup. Beauty often comes with an unwelcome price, the risk of compromised health. Read the labels and stick to natural products. Better yet, by just taking a few minutes out of the day, some products can be easily made at home, assuring quality and safety. Below are recipes for healthy products; one for shampoos that leave your healthy and hair vibrant, and the other for toothpastes, that will promote oral health.
Activated charcoal not only absorbs toxins, it actually absorbs them (which means it toxins are attracted to the charcoal). Toxins which are attracted and absorbed by the charcoal are then quickly passed through the digestive system or, in many instances, are expelled from the body even more quickly by vomiting.
Food grade diatomaceous earth is effective in removing toxins. As it passes through the digestive tract not only does it absorb and trap pathogens such as viruses, bacteria, fungi, and protozoa but it also traps and absorbs toxins, eliminating them from the body.
Other effective ways of removing toxins from the body are:
*Zeolite Minerals are naturally occurring volcanic mineral compounds with a negative magnetic charge and a unique crystalline cage-like structure which draws in many harmful toxins.
*Drinking plenty of water to flush out the system.
*Bentonite clay, used both internally and externally (in a clay bath).
*Lemon juice is also effective in removing toxins. Twelve large lemons can be added to a gallon of distilled water or two tablespoons of lemon juice can be added to a cup of herbal tea.
*Epsom salt, baking soda, or sea salt baths help to remove toxins via the skin. Put one pound of whichever item you prefer into the bath water and soak for at least 12 minutes several times a week.
*Supplements and food items such as milk thistle, alpha-lipoic acid, selenium, beetroot juice, turmeric, coconut oil, and the herb goldenseal eliminate toxins efficiently by protecting and helping to regenerate the liver. Iodine, vitamin B12, and vitamins A, C, and E also help the body rid itself of toxins.
*Use liver, gall bladder, colon, kidney, and blood cleanses.
*Other ways to effectively cleanse the body are by taking chlorella, cilantro, apple pectin, niacin and zeolite minerals.
*Glutathione suppositories can be used when symptoms first appear.
