The Third Source and Center is infinite in mind. If the universe grew to infinity, even its potential of mind would be adequate to provide an unlimited number of creatures with appropriate minds and other prerequisites of the intellect.
In the field of the created mind the Third Person, with its coordinated and subordinate partners, governs in supremacy. The domains of the mind of the creature originate exclusively from the Third Source and Center: he is the one who bestows the mind. Even the fragments of the Father find it impossible to inhabit men's minds before the path has been prepared properly for them by the mental action and spiritual function of the Infinite Spirit.
The distinctive feature of the mind is that it can be granted to a wide variety of life. Through its creators and associated creatures, the Third Source and Center minister all the minds in all spheres. Minister of human and subhuman intellects through the helpers of the minds of the local universes and, through the agency of the physical controllers; He even ministers the lowest non-experiential entities of the most primitive types of living things. The direction of the mind is always a ministry of personalities of mind-spirit or mind-energy.
Since the Third Person of Deity is the origin of the mind, it is natural that evolutionary volitional creatures make it easier for them to understand comprehensible concepts of the Infinite Spirit than the Eternal Son or the Universal Father. The reality of the Joint Creator is imperfectly revealed in the very existence of the human mind. The Joint Creator is the ancestor of the cosmic mind, and the mind of man is an individualized circuit, an impersonal portion, of that cosmic mind such as a Creating Daughter of the Third Source and Center grants it in a local universe.
But the fact that the Third Person is the origin of the mind does not mean that we can infer that all the phenomena of the mind are divine. The human intellect is rooted in the material origin of animal breeds. Universal intelligence is not a true revelation of God that is mind, as physical nature is not a true revelation of the beauty and harmony of Paradise. Perfection is in nature, but nature is not perfect. The Creator Together is the origin of the mind, but the mind is not the Creator Set.
The mind in Urantia is an advancement between the essence of perfection of thought and the evolutionary mentality of your human immature nature. The plan for your intellectual evolution is, of course, of sublime perfection, but you are far from this divine goal while you work in the tabernacle of the flesh. The mind is truly of divine origin, and has a divine destiny, but your mortal minds have not yet reached the divine dignity.
Very often, too often you disfigure your minds with insincerity and wilderness with evil; submit them to animal fears and distort them with useless anxieties. Therefore, even though the source of the mind is divine, the mind as you know it in your ascension world, can hardly be subject to great admiration, let alone worship or worship. The contemplation of the immature and inactive human intellect should only lead to reactions of humility.
