God is spirit in a triple sense: it is spirit; In his Son appears as a spirit without qualification; in the Joint Actor, as a spirit allied with the mind. In addition to these spiritual realities, we believe to discern levels of experiential spiritual phenomena: the spirits of the Supreme Being, the Last Divinity, and the Absolute Deity.
The Infinite Spirit is both a complement to the Eternal Son as the Son is an accessory of the Universal Father. The Eternal Son is a spiritualized personalization of the Father; The Infinite Spirit is a personalized spiritualization of the Eternal Son and the Universal Father.
There are many unrestricted lines of spiritual strength and super-material sources of power that link Urantia's population directly with the Deities of Paradise. There is a direct connection of the Adjusters of Thought with the Universal Father, the vast influence of the impulse of the spiritual gravity of the Eternal Son, and the spiritual presence of the Joint Creator. There is a difference in function between the spirit of the Son and the spirit of the Spirit. The Third Person can work in his spiritual ministry as mind and spirit or as spirit alone.
In addition to these paradisiac presence, the Urantians benefit from the influences and spiritual activities of the local universe and the superuniverse, with its almost endless series of loving personalities that forever lead up and inward to the true purpose and to the honest heart, towards the ideals of divinity and the objective of supreme perfection.
We know the presence of the universal spirit of the Eternal Son and we can recognize it unequivocally. Even the mortal man can know the presence of the Infinite Spirit, the Third Person of the Deity, because material creatures can really experience the charity of this divine influence that functions as the Holy Spirit of the local universe, poured out on the races of humanity. Human beings can also, to some extent, become aware of the Adjuster, the impersonal presence of Universal Father. All these divine spirits who work for the elevation and spiritualization of man act in unison and in perfect cooperation. They are like one in the spiritual operation of the plans of ascension and achievement of the perfection of mortals.
