About twenty collective weave an alliance against precarity

An assembly against precarity met in Valencia to about one hundred and fifty people ahead of a planned demonstration on February 10

About 150 people attended Thursday February 1 at the open meeting of the Platform NO + PRECARIOUSNESS facing the preparation of a demonstration against the precariousness that will take place on 10 February in Valencia and other cities of Valencia and rest of Spain. Representatives of more than a dozen groups presented their work and life situation at such meeting, held at the Faculty of Philosophy of Valencia, and it was agreed not only to support and augment the demonstration on February 10, but also to give continuity to these actions .

Teachers of Children and Special Education, pensioners, taxi drivers, stevedores, university students and PhD, interpreters of sign language, people affected by mortgages, workers of public health, distributors, university professors ... all and all publicly exposed the situation the different groups. The common denominator is the threat or reality of a dreadful working and living precarious both the extent and the depth of this precariousness. The coincidence was absolute pointing out the labor reform approved by the Popular Party as the definitive turning point regarding labor rights of citizenship.

Faced with such a bleak picture, all groups present and also some absentees who had previously joined the initiative showed their support for the unitary demonstration against the precariousness that will take place on February 10 not only in Valencia, but also in other cities of Valencia and the rest of Spain while pledging to endorse any actions of solidarity and mutual support among all groups affected by insecurity.

The assembly ended with a lighted intervention of José Coy, legendary fighter PAHs (Platform of People Affected by Mortgages), who made a call to the demonstration on February 10 against precarity have continuity with a series of consecutive actions " not only fight against precariousness, but also to merge all those affected in a unitary and continuous struggle of citizen empowerment ".
