The Book of Urantia - God's relationship with the Universe

THE FATHER Universal has an eternal purpose related to the material, intellectual and spiritual phenomena of the universe of universes, which he carries out all the time. God created the universes by His free and sovereign will, and created them according to His all-wise and eternal purpose. It is doubtful that anyone except the Paradise Deities and their highest associates know much about the eternal purpose of God. Even the exalted citizens of Paradise have very varied opinions about the nature of the eternal purpose of the Deities.

It is easy to deduce that the purpose of the creation of the perfect central universe of Havona was purely the satisfaction of the divine nature. Havona can serve as the original model of creation for all other universes and as the final school for the time pilgrims on their way to Paradise; Nevertheless, this exalted creation must exist fundamentally for the pleasure and satisfaction of the perfect and infinite Creators.

The astounding plan of perfecting evolutionary mortals, and once they reach Paradise and the Corps of the Finality, to provide further training for some undisclosed future task, seems at present to be one of the chief occupations of the seven superuniverses And its many subdivisions; But this ascensional project for the spiritualization and training of the mortals of time and space is by no means the exclusive occupation of the intelligences of the universe. There are, indeed, many other fascinating tasks that occupy time and channel the energies of the heavenly hosts.
