Por eso, mientras más fuerte sea el deseo de independencia catalán, más alto debe sonar el llamado a la unidad por parte no sólo del resto de España sino de todos los sectores afectados de Europa y el mundo, porque este movimiento, de carácter esencialmente nacionalista, no contribuye a la conformación de una UE fuerte, independiente, que satisfaga solidariamente las necesidades de sus miembros sino unicamente los deseos de independencia, tal vez justos, de un sector social catalán.

La autodeterminación es la solución positiva del problema catalán y del resto de la UE con dificultades similares, que sólo pueden ser resueltas en conexión con el momento que actualmente viven Europa y el mundo. 

Contra la autodeterminación no hay objeción. Si una nación lucha por su independencia, nadie debe oponerse a ello. Si Cataluña no quiere formar parte de España, no se le debe poner obstáculos. Pero se precisa de una ley general para la conformación de un Estado Federativo, plenamente democrático, que prohíba todos los privilegios actuales y se base en el principio de igualdad de derechos para todas las naciones. 

Se trata de que gocen del principio de autodeterminación el pueblo catalán y los demás pueblos de España y Europa, dentro de estados multinacionales; que todos tengan iguales privilegios y deberes y puedan organizarse como les plazca, conforme sus deseos y principios de autonomía, para determinar libremente sus destinos; que puedan tener relaciones federativas con otras naciones e, incluso, separarse por completo siempre y cuando no menoscaben los jurisprudencia de otras naciones, tal como está regulado en Canadá.

 Para salir del atolladero en que España se encuentra, tendría que renunciar el gobierno actual, que la fuerzas democráticas, todavía no constituidas, ganen una nueva elección para que un programa así se cumpla en una sociedad para la que el franquismo y el Partido Popular, de Rajoy, representan un atraso casi medieval.



Lastimosamente, esto es como pedirle peras al olmo, porque el reino de España, comandado por Rajoy, es heredero directo del franquismo, que masacró y persiguió con saña al pueblo catalán, al que incluso prohibió hablar en su lengua materna, es también heredero del gobierno de Aznar, que fue cómplice de la guerra contra Iraq, en la que participó gustoso.

Curioso absurdo, si el presidente del Gobierno de España, Rajoy, hubiera permitido la celebración libre del referéndum, el Sí no hubiera obtenido la mayoría abrumadora que obtuvo, un 90%.
