First, I want to share a bit about sound. Science has proven that everything is vibrating, everything is moving. Some things just move at a slower pace and appear to be dense or solid. We can measure vibrations by their “frequency” or how frequently they vibrate. This is measured in waves or cycles per second called hertz (Hz) which is the unit for frequency. Essentially, frequency, sound, energy, vibrations are different aspects of the same principle. So this means our body is vibrating as well. The parts that are more dense (teeth, bones) have a lower frequency than the organs and even lower than the liquids in our body like blood and water. All of this shows that our bodies are really symphonies of sound, however the frequencies exist outside of the range that our ears can hear. So if everything is vibrating that also means that our thoughts and emotions must have a frequency as well. The emotional body, for example vibrates at a much higher rate than the physical body, and the mental body is at an even higher rate than the emotional. And, the spiritual body, or Soul, is vibrating at an infinite frequency! This is not theory, it has been proven by neuroscientists such as Dr. Candace Pert, Ph D. That could lead us down a whole other conversation about how our thoughts affect our bodies, but that is for another article.
So how can we use this knowledge of sound vibration when it comes to healing. Well, we can discover frequencies that our bodies vibrate at in a healthy state and listen to those frequencies to create brain wave entrainment to bring us back to health. Using Binaural beats is another way of altering brain wave frequencies to induce particular states like a dreaming or meditative state to help with sleeping or meditating. We can also do this on a spiritual level. For example, certain singing bowls are tuned to frequencies of particular chakras and can be used to balance them. This also explains why certain frequencies or sound stimulate particular emotions in us. The frequencies that are in a song or sound resonate with particular emotions and can create them within us. So in that way, we can use music to change our emotional or mental state. Also, everyone has a unique vibrational signature that can be affected greatly by the use of their own voice. There have been all kinds of studies that conclude that the single most healing instrument a person can use is their own voice! This makes sense right? That is why singing feels so good and why music and sound are such important parts of almost every spiritual practice or religion.
There are all kinds of different vocal exercises for moving energy through the human body (toning) that can be used with different intentions to create optimal health. We naturally do this all the time through sighs, screams, laughing, crying, wailing, etc. These natural, intuitive sounds actually prevent atrophy in the body! We can take it to the next level by making sound with intention to support us in so many ways including relieving stress, inducing meditative states, clearing or balancing our chakras, building our immune system, regenerating energy, reducing body pain, taking back our voice/power, building confidence, stabilizing our emotions, building spiritual awareness, and releasing blockages in our energetic body.
The field of sound therapy or sound healing is vast. The easiest way to get started is to use your own voice. My favorite way of doing this is through over-toning (see videos on website), but there are many ways that are super easy and very effective. I love working with breath and sound because they are given to all of us at birth. We don’t need anything outside of ourselves. We can learn simple techniques that we can do at any time, any where, without paying anything…that is empowering!!!
A basic exercise to get started: Start your day with a few minutes of humming with your eyes closed. Become present and notice where you can feel your body vibrating with the different pitches that you make. Visualize sending the sound into the areas of your body that hold tension or pain. Then open your mouth and continue to make sound, experimenting with different vowel sounds. Just stay present and feel into your body to notice how it affects you.

President Trump’s move to punish Guatemala, Honduras and El Salvador came after he indicated he could close the United States border with Mexico next week. Credit Credit Doug Mills/The New York Times
PALM BEACH, Fla. — President Trump said on Friday that there would be a “very good likelihood” that he would seal off the United States border with Mexico next week, even as he moved to punish Guatemala, Honduras and El Salvador for migrant caravans by cutting off all foreign aid to the countries.
The moves escalated a sustained berating of countries he blames for being unable to stop the flow of migrants trying to make their way north.
“I will close the border if Mexico doesn’t get with it,” Mr. Trump said to reporters who had gathered at Mar-a-Lago, his winter retreat in Florida. “If Mexico doesn’t stop it.”
At Mr. Trump’s direction, the State Department on Friday began the process of informing Congress that it intended to end the foreign aid. A person with knowledge of the decision said that Mr. Trump met with Secretary of State Mike Pompeo on Thursday, after which diplomats were directed to begin the process of cutting off the funds by drafting letters to lawmakers. Mr. Trump publicly said as much on Friday in comments to reporters.

“No money goes there anymore,” Mr. Trump said. “We’re giving them tremendous aid. We stopped payment.”
The State Department issued a statement late on Friday saying: “At the secretary’s instruction, we are carrying out the president’s direction and ending FY 2017 and FY 2018 foreign assistance programs for the Northern Triangle. We will be engaging Congress as part of this process.”

Mr. Trump has threatened to close off the border and cut off aid to the three countries — known as the Northern Triangle — several times before and has not followed through.
But his comments on Friday signaled a new escalation and a diplomatic assault on America’s neighbors in the hemisphere as his administration confirmed that it would review ways to reshuffle Border Patrol agents, shut down traffic lanes and close ports of entry at the southwest border. He began the day with a morning tweet saying that he would close the border “next week,” and then told reporters that he was prepared to close off trade and commercial ports of entry.

A full or partial sealing of the border would effectively close off the United States from one of its largest trading partners, but it could leave American citizens who cross back and forth with a sluggish or potentially nonexistent system of returning to the United States.
“I’m not playing games,” Mr. Trump said on Friday, as he threatened to close the border with Mexico.

The president has been emboldened since the release of a report by the special counsel, Robert S. Mueller III, found that his campaign had not cooperated with the Russian government. And a partisan upholding of his national emergency declaration over a wall along the southwestern border has prompted Mr. Trump to ratchet up harsh words against immigration as he seeks to galvanize supporters ahead of the 2020 presidential election.

As he engaged in multiple photo opportunities throughout the day, Mr. Trump’s actions and comments indicated that his mind was not on the scenes at hand but on immigration.
“How are we doing at the border?” he asked a military official on a tour of Lake Okeechobee, the site of a restoration project in the central part of the state. During a meeting at Mar-a-Lago to announce that Linda McMahon, who has led the Small Business Administration, had resigned, he again turned to immigration.
“We have the most laughed-at immigration laws of anywhere in the world,” Mr. Trump said to reporters as he and Ms. McMahon sat in the ornate front room of the club. “They’re the Democrats’ laws, and I got stuck with them.”
Mr. Trump’s decision to end the aid to the Central American countries is likely to anger members of Congress from both parties, who have supported spending money to try to address the root causes of the violence that has caused migrants to flee those countries to come to the United States.

Currently, the United States spends about $620 million a year for gang prevention programs and other initiatives aimed at helping support civil society in the three countries. Advocates say that cutting the funds will only accelerate the migrant flows into the United States.
But the president has repeatedly expressed anger that the United States sends money to the countries even as caravans of migrants make their way to the border.
In an email from the director of the Office of U.S. Foreign Assistance Resources on Friday night, senior State Department and United States Agency for International Development officials were instructed to “redirect” all 2018 assistance “away from these countries” and to “cease and desist” all 2017 spending already started.
The email sent State Department officials scrambling to carry out the president’s order. It was unclear how quickly the funding would cease since the governments had not yet been notified formally of the decision.

It is also unclear whether the department can redirect all of the money to other parts of the world. Some of the money meant for the 2017 fiscal year has already been allocated to specific contracts, so it might not be able to be withdrawn, according to a person familiar with the effort.
Mr. Trump told reporters that he would consider shutting down ports along the border, a decision that could imperil the transit of goods between the United States and Mexico. According to government figures, Mexico is the United States’ third-largest goods trading partner, with $557.6 billion worth of products flowing across the border in both directions.
A move by Mr. Trump to shut down or drastically curb trade with Mexico would pose significant risks to the American economy. It would also represent a stunning reversal in trade relations between the two countries, which last August put their differences aside to renegotiate their portion of the North American Free Trade Agreement. The new deal, known as the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement, still needs to be approved by Congress.
The president lamented that Mexico was making a “fortune” off the United States, and said Mexico’s immigration laws were the “strongest immigration laws of anywhere in the world.” (Mexico is much weaker than the United States at enforcing its border laws.) Mr. Trump also again invoked migrant caravans — including one containing hundreds of people heading to the United States — as a reason Mexico needed to act.

“Mexico is tough,” Mr. Trump said. “If they don’t stop them, we’re closing the border.”
Americans would feel the effects in other ways. Border control agencies are already reviewing ways to slow down immigration processing at the border. A senior homeland security official confirmed on Friday that shutting down ports of entry along the southwest border was “on the table” to handle the surge in migrants seeking asylum.
Kirstjen Nielsen, the homeland security secretary, said in a statement that she had asked volunteers to add more support at the border, and suggested that American citizens may encounter difficulty getting through as a result.
“Make no mistake: Americans may feel effects from this emergency,” Ms. Nielsen said. “As personnel are reallocated to join the crisis-response effort, there may be commercial delays, higher vehicle wait times at the border and longer pedestrian lines.”
She added that “despite these impacts, we cannot shirk our responsibility to the American people to do everything possible to secure our country while also upholding our humanitarian values.”

Stephen H. Legomsky, a law professor at Washington University in St. Louis, said there were a few options available to Mr. Trump if he wanted to move to stop the flow of people at the border, including slowing down processing at ports of entry. The administration has already limited the number of migrants who can apply for asylum each day.
“He could pretend that this was necessary in the interest of national security,” Mr. Legomsky said, “and it could be that the courts would be hesitant to second guess a national security claim by a president.”
Mr. Legomsky said putting up trade roadblocks and slowing down the processing of people would have harmful effects, both on American citizens who could find themselves “marooned” in Mexico and on families, including groups of women and children, who are fleeing violence and poverty.
“There’s a huge humanitarian concern,” Mr. Legomsky said. “So many of the people are these Central American mothers and children fleeing from high levels of violence. They would be effectively stuck in the border areas which are also extremely dangerous.”

On Thursday, the president said that he did not share concern over the plight of people in danger. In front of supporters at a rally in Grand Rapids, Mich., he used harsh language to describe the thousands of people who have tried to flee violence and poverty, calling the problem an “invasion” and referring to asylum seekers as a “big fat con job.”
In a news conference in El Paso on Wednesday, Kevin McAleenan, the commissioner of Customs and Border Protection, said that an influx of migrants had reached a “breaking point.”
In February, there were 76,000 crossings at the border, which marked an 11-year high and signaled that the Trump administration’s harsher policies have not stopped the flow of people trying to enter the country.
The threat to close the border is one that Mr. Trump has made previously but not carried out. But he has not yet attached a deadline by which he would take such a drastic measure, and did not respond to reporters who asked on Friday whether he would set one.
The homeland security official said the Trump administration had not yet decided to shut down a major port, but that the department had been forced to divert agents from ports of entries and interior checkpoints to handle large groups of migrants trying to illegally come into the United States, including families.

People have been waking up for some time now to their ability to demand better representation, as their leaders have not truly put them at the head of their list. It seems that some are more interested in service to self, and it is time more attention was given to the needs of the people. Governments have proved to be too big to provide personal attention to the problems that have arisen. There is an arguable need for smaller groups that are given adequate power to serve the people on a more personal basis. Local Councils are an obvious choice if given the power and financial assistance that would be needed. In some countries the people are virtually ignored and have openly stood up against those in charge. The mood for change is very powerful and it must come if you are to move with the times. Needed changes cannot be held back as the impetus is too powerful, but sometimes it is a hard struggle to get going when the dark Ones still interfere with progress.
The greater plan for your evolution has been in place for eons of time, and it comes from the experiences of many different groups. You could certainly say that your plan has been well tried and tested, and you have the benefit of knowledge previously gained. Your life styles may be different but the basic experience is suited to all types of souls. The main aim is to achieve a realisation of the existence of soul groups and know that you all came from the same Source – The Supreme Creator. You may “wear” different bodies and your lifestyle may be unusual, but the fact remains that you are all souls that have come from the same Source. You all have the same goals and that is to bring your experiences back to the Godhead.
The enormity of Space that seems endless is beyond a mortal’s imagination, and to think that it is filled with all types of life at different stages of evolution. It begs the question as to what great life form oversees it all, and how can such a massive set up be controlled and administered so well that everything seems to operate so smoothly. Well that will remain a mystery for the time being until you are yourselves more evolved and able to comprehend it. You still have much to do and learn and you have only just started your journey. You have some concepts to grasp as you make your way forward and possibly the fact that all is in the now is the hardest one to understand. By all means give it thought and if you are ready your Guides will help you understand a different type of existence. It is called progress as you make the return journey from whence you came.
The apparent isolation that we seem to have been in for thousands of years, is to ensure that as a freewill planet we are allowed to live by our freewill and consequently are responsible for the outcome. It is a sure way of learning how to evolve in a manner that results in our gradual evolution. Visitors to your planet are of course normally kept at bay, or at least restricted to only being allowed as observers. An exception was the presence of the Anunnaki who by their actions covered a phase of our needed experiences, whilst at the same time clearing old karma. It is true that nothing happens by chance, and events of any note can help many, many souls even if they were not directly involved in the actions that brought it about. Karma has served its purpose but is not now necessary to the extent it was previously, as most is cleared very quickly.
It must seem strange to you that a comparatively small percentage of souls can give out so much light that it can actually carry man forward and onto a higher level of vibrations such as you are enjoying now. Yes, some souls will dispute that point but they do not have such a panoramic view of what is happening on Earth as we do. Plus it is harder to comprehend what is going on when you are in the middle of what is taking place. Furthermore you cannot see the potential that exists, particularly at this time when you are in the midst of the changes. We can assure that out of the chaos the new pathways will become apparent, and make good the promises of better times, when all things will happen for the better good of the people.
When the plan for your individual evolution is worked out, you are allotted Guides who have the experience to see you through such matters. They will lead you and inspire you so that as far as possible you follow your agreed path. Helping other souls along is the work of more highly evolved souls, who have experience in the same type of challenges as you are facing. Sometimes you will feel them around you along with the deceased amongst your own family, who love to occasionally visit you to see how you are doing. They like you to know they are with you, and sometimes you will feel them around you. They do not sit in the bath with you or do anything that you would find embarrassing, but particularly in your quiet moments they choose to let you know they are around. It will not be your imagination, so do not dismiss those feelings of contact being made with you.
Can you imagine the joy and laughter when those who have risen up know that you are due to leave the Earth. There is no sorrow or mourning but excitement at the thought that you are returning to the Light, and all of your family and friends that have passed on will be there to greet you. It will be celebrations all round in what is known as the Summerland for obvious reasons. There is absolutely nothing wrong in looking forward to the reunion that awaits you, and with the right approach you can enjoy your return to the higher levels that you descended from to incarnate. Bear in mind that in the higher levels you still have an “Earth Body” but not the heavy and dense version you left behind, but one that can be changed by the power of your thought. You can literally think things into being.
As you can imagine, compared to your Earth experiences that are mainly very demanding and often tiring, in the higher levels you feel refreshed and full of life. So much so that you do not need to lay your body down for long periods to “recharge” as you did on Earth. So much is different but will be to your liking and very satisfying. We know that some of you will jokingly ask if you can take your mobile phones with you, but in any event you would not need them as you communicate with each other by the power of thought.

A new study looked at
sea, rock, and lake salt
sold around the world.
Here's what you need to know...
Microplastics were found in sea salt several years ago.
But how extensively plastic bits are spread throughout the most commonly used seasoning remained unclear. Now, new research shows microplastics in 90 percent of the table salt brands sampled worldwide.
Of 39 salt brands tested, 36 had microplastics in them, according to a new analysis by researchers in South Korea and Greenpeace East Asia.
Using prior salt studies, this new effort is the first of its scale to look at the geographical spread of microplastics in table salt and their correlation to whereplastic pollution is found in the environment.
"The findings suggest that human ingestion of microplastics via marine products is strongly related to emissions in a given region," said Seung-Kyu Kim, a marine science professor at Incheon National University in South Korea.

...were analyzed.
The three brands that did not contain microplastics are from,
Taiwan (refined sea salt)
China (refined rock salt)
France (unrefined sea salt produced by solar evaporation)
The density of microplastics found in salt varied dramatically among different brands, but those from Asian brands were especially high, the study found.
The highest quantities of microplastics were found in salt sold in Indonesia.
Asia is a hot spot for plastic pollution, and Indonesia - with 34,000 miles (54,720 km) of coastline - ranked in an unrelated 2015 study as suffering the second-worst level of plastic pollution in the world.
In another indicator of the geographic density of plastic pollution, microplastics levels were highest in sea salt, followed by lake salt and then rock salt.
The new study is the fifth on salt published in recent years.
Sherri Mason, a professor at the State University of New York in Fredonia, who partnered with researchers at the University of Minnesota on a separate salt study, said in an interview the new findings add "another piece to the puzzle" to assessing the impact of microplastics.
"That fact that they found higher counts in Asia is interesting. While not surprising, you still have to have the data," she says.
"The earlier studies found traces of microplastics in salt products sold in those countries, but we haven't known how much."

The new study, she says,
"shows us that microplastics are ubiquitous. It's not a matter of if you are buying sea salt in England, you are safe."
Is this harmful? The new study estimates that the average adult consumes approximately 2,000 microplastics per year through salt. What that means remains a mystery.
A separate study by the University of York in Britain that sought to assess the risks of microplastics to the environment, published Wednesday, concluded not enough is known to determine if microplastics cause harm.
The review of 320 existing studies found "major knowledge gaps" in scientific understanding of the impact of microplastics.

...leading to a "mismatch" of data that makes comparisons akin to comparing "apples to pears," Alistair Boxall, a University of York geography professor and co-author of the study, said in a statement.
"Based on our analysis, there is currently limited evidence to suggest microplastics are causing significant adverse impacts," he said.
"There is an urgent need for better quality and more holistic monitoring studies alongside more environmentally realistic effects studies on the particle sizes and material types that are actually in the environment."
Boxall added that the focus on microplastics may divert attention from worse environmental (and more easily identifiable) pollution problems, such as small particles released from car tires.

Qué nos cuentan los estudios Sherri Mason, la autora del estudio el año pasado en la Universidad Estatal de Nueva York dice:

"No creas que si estás comprando sal marina en Inglaterra, estás a salvo".
Greenpeace East Asia indica que existe un gran vínculo entre la contaminación plástica de un lugar y la cantidad de microplásticos ingeridos en un año por los habitantes de ese lugar, sin ser conscientes.
Otro estudio (Plastic Waste Inputs from Land into the Ocean) coloca a Indonesia en el segundo nivel más alto de contaminación. Se descubrió que las marcas de sal de ese país contienen en su gran mayoría microplasticos.
El director ejecutivo del Programa de las Naciones Unidas para el Medio Ambiente, Erik Solheim, califica el estudio como aterrador.
"Más evidencia de la aterradora proliferación de la contaminación plástica".
Pero a su vez mantiene la esperanza de que además de estos estudios, los gobiernos y empresas tomen conciencia y reduzcan el uso de plásticos.
El futuro del almacenamiento está en el ADN: en bases de ADN a partir de código binario.

No es ningún secreto que nuestro ADN es único en muchos sentidos, y una de esas formas incluye la capacidad de almacenar enormes cantidades de datos. Microsoft colaboró con la Universidad de Washington (EE. UU.) para demostrar el almacenamiento totalmente automatizado de datos de ADN, que es un paso importante en el desarrollo de tecnología para laboratorios de investigación y centros de datos comerciales.
Los investigadores del equipo lograron guardar con éxito la palabra "hola" en fragmentos de ADN y luego los convirtieron de nuevo en datos digitalesutilizando un sistema automatizado de extremo a extremo.
Los expertos estaban explorando formas de llenar el vacío entre la enorme cantidad de datos con los que tratamos a diario y encontrar un dispositivo que pueda almacenar esos datos. Para llenar el vacío, los expertos produjeron algoritmos y tecnologías de computación molecular que podían codificar y recuperar datos.
"Nuestro objetivo final es poner un sistema en producción que, para el usuario final, se parece mucho a cualquier otro servicio de almacenamiento en la nube: los bits se envían a un centro de datos y se almacenan allí, y luego aparecen cuando el cliente los quiere", comenta Karin Strauss, líder del estudio que recoge la revista Nature. "Para hacer eso, necesitamos demostrar que esto es práctico desde una perspectiva de automatización".

Eso es lo que inspiró a los investigadores a desarrollar un almacenamiento de ADN completamente automatizado que consiste en moléculas de ADN generadas en laboratorio. Además, el sistema se puede cifrar antes de enviarlo a un sistema informático para mayor seguridad.
Sin embargo, los investigadores necesitaban encontrar una manera de hacer que el sistema funcionara como una solución de almacenamiento comercial, y lo primero que se debía hacer era disminuir el costo de la síntesis del ADN y el proceso de secuenciación que se utiliza para extraer la información. Según los investigadores, las nuevas tendencias tecnológicas sugieren que ya se está avanzando en esa dirección.
Almacenamiento 'eterno'
Si la solución se desarrolla adecuadamente, el ADN podría durar mucho más que las unidades de almacenamiento tradicionales, como los discos duros y las unidades de estado sólido, que se degradarán en menos de una década. Modelaron el ADN original contenido en las criaturas vivientes, observando que el ADN persistió durante miles de años en los colmillos de mamut y en los huesos de los primeros humanos de la Tierra, por lo que deberían ser relevantes durante mucho tiempo.
El software empleado puede convertir números binarios de datos digitales en: A (adenina), G (guanina), C (citosina) y T (timina), que son los componentes básicos del ADN tal como lo conocemos.
"Definitivamente estamos viendo el nacimiento de un nuevo tipo de sistema informático, en el que se utilizan moléculas para almacenar datos y componentes electrónicos para el control y el procesamiento. Ponerlos juntos tiene algunas posibilidades realmente interesantes para el futuro ", dijo Luis Ceze, profesor de la Escuela UW Allen.
¿Qué diferencia hay con el almacenamiento tradicional?
El almacenamiento de datos de ADN es muy diferente en comparación con los ordenadores basados en silicio porque necesitan usar diferentes líquidos para que las moléculas estén en movimiento. Los líquidos, a diferencia de los electrones, se mueven de manera diferente y necesitan nuevos métodos de ingeniería para ponerlos en práctica.

En el futuro, el equipo detrás del almacenamiento de datos de ADN espera ver el desarrollo de un sistema simple de extremo a extremo que pueda automatizar los experimentos de laboratorio.
Y es que el procesamiento de la palabra “hola” duró 21 horas, y teniendo en cuenta que la información apenas ocupaba 5 bytes, aún queda mucho por hacer. Lo bueno, es que esto es sólo el principio.
