UN urges Rajoy to investigate "all acts of violence" in Catalonia

The United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, Zeid Ra'ad Al Hussein, on Monday has been "disturbed" by the PP government's violence in Catalonia this Sunday during the independence referendum held on 1 October and request "an independent and impartial investigation into all acts of violence".
"Spain must respect fundamental rights in response to the Catalan referendum."
This is the warning contained in an expert report of the United Nations Office of Human Rights on State measures to prevent consultation on 1 October.
The document calls the arrests of politicians, accusations of sedition, records in the printing presses or the blocking of webs "worrisome".
The referendum, announced by the governors of Lombardia (Roberto Maroni)aqh and Veneto (Luca Zaia), will be held on October 22. On that day they will vote for the referendum of autonomy both Italian regions and not all the State as argues the government of Rajoy absurdly.
The European nations that want independence
Against Madrid, the Catalan government wants to hold a referendum on independence this October 1. It is not the only region in Europe where part of society dreams of separatism. In the middle of Europe many new countries were born out of the collapse of the Soviet Union and Yugoslavia. In Western Europe, on the other hand, the old States - a part of the division between absolutist monarchies - seemed more than definite.
