Detectan 27 edificios residenciales en Inglaterra que corren el mismo riesgo que la torre Grenfell

La Policía londinense determinó que el revestimiento y aislamiento usados en esa edificación incendiada no eran los adecuados.

Hasta el momento un total de 27edificios residenciales no han pasado las pruebas de seguridad de revestimiento contra el fuego en toda Inglaterra (Reino Unido), ha comunicado este sábado el Gobierno británico citado por Reuters.

Las pruebas se han llevado a cabo a raíz del incendio en la torre Grenfell de Londres del pasado 14 de junio, en el que murieron al menos 79 personas y decenas resultaron heridas. Según el Departamento de Comunidades y Gobierno Local, los edificios con revestimiento que no cumplen con las normas de seguridad se encuentran en Londres, Mánchester, Plymouth y Portsmouth.

Portavoces de ese departamento indicaron a RT que el Gobierno está trabajando con los bomberos para determinar si los 27 edificios necesitan ser evacuados. La Policía Metropolitana londinense determinó que el revestimiento y aislamiento usados en la fachada de la torre Grenfell, un edificio de apartamentos de 24 plantas, no eran los adecuados. Además confirmó que el fuego fue provocado por un fallo eléctrico de una nevera y que no fue deliberado.
