State sewers in 'prime time'

26 June 2017

By  Iñigo Sáenz de  Ugarte ,  www.eldiario.es              View original

"The rule of law also defends himself in the sewers", say Felipe González said many years ago, precisely when the sewers were smoking with the GAL.

Sunday, the program  Brans  has given us an example in  prime time performance of those sewers that do not belong only to the early years of the Transition or the turbulent 80s.
Jordi interview Évole Commissioner Villarejo has all policemen, spies, judges, politicians, journalists ...
After all, Villarejo has moved several governments  like a fish in water in the sewers  serving politicians and businessmen, handing out information to trusted journalists and playing at being a spy for great annoyance of those who charge for this function to of the month.
Villarejo professional activity is accelerated when the police again in the 90s after unpaid leave of ten years. Thereafter, it works for subsequent governments always found useful for a man like him.
No minister to discard the idea of having a report in his office on confidential matters, not to press charges in court -the legal role of the police, but to know more than their opponents or hurt sometimes.
From there, the  creative  commissioner when interpreting the orders of their bosses is what kept him active for so long. It is always good to have a hit man who makes insinuations in orders, which always goes beyond what has been asked.
The interview, despite the long succession of  lies Villarejo , we granted a ringside seat in the representation of those sewers which has been linked to the fabrication of evidence against political opponents of the PP in recent years.
In that sense, he was a brave and a perfect staging that made us witnessed part of the functioning of the state that rarely appears in television prime time program.
The plural of sewers is inevitable.
How can a police faced for years to CNI he was recruited by the Ministry of Interior led by Jorge Fernandez Diaz to address topics  of Catalonia , and so that was decorated for it?
The years of PP government have given us shows like this, when curators and journalists were busy making headlines against the Catalans can and independence, as well as a war of Commissioners at the highest levels in the flying knives.
So much so that it is strange that some of these Commissioners has not suffered a car accident when remaining surprisingly without brakes.
To be faithful to the testimony, it must be said in an abridged version Villarejo accused the director of the CNI to be the greatest power in the shadow of this country and have threatened a former mistress of former king Juan Carlos, the Socialist deputy Margarita Robles commission a report on the personal life of Baltasar Garzón when he was secretary of State, former director of the Police Ignacio Cosidó have tried to torpedo the investigation into Barcenas, and journalist Javier Ayuso El País working for the CNI.
His feud with CNI is known and dates back several years. The spies did not want a competitor in its field of business.
The adventures of Juan Carlos de Borbon and Corinna are known, and it is not surprising that the mission took CNI prevent -even more- would harm the reputation of the monarchy.
At the time of Margarita Robles it was when Villarejo police lost some of their privileges and remember that the PSOE of Felipe González always accused Belloch and Robles had not somehow stopped research on the GAL.
It turns out that, despite the attempt to end the reputation of Baltasar Garzón and relate to drug traffickers, the exjuez maintains a good relationship now with Villarejo, which can only surprise the innocent who believe their investigation into the GAL and activity in recent years about the crimes of Francoism summarized his entire career.
The idea that Cosidó could push Villarejo regarding Barcenas is so ridiculous that surprises me a camera interview would not fall to the ground laughing and ruin the plane. Cosidó a not particularly bright PP deputy, was not the Minister of Interior in the shade or great revelations about Barcenas that have to do with Villarejo known.
His explanation that Cosidó bypassing the number two of Interior to be in contact with the Deputy Prime Minister does not make sense, because the Secretary of State and was the group of PP leaders who owe everything to Saenz de Santamaria.
About Ayuso, frankly you need not be an agent of the CNI to defend the royal family and former political system elections in 2015 from the country.
Do it for free, but obviously receives a salary in the newspaper to fulfill that role.
I must say something quite obvious. Villarejo does all these accusations  without presenting evidence .
That fan is that betrays him.
In a not too distant time, he had the protection of the Ministry of Interior, had a cohort of journalists who regurgitated their blows and smear campaigns-hence the mention of Inda and Urreiztieta in the program, and not the only- and short was really scary.
The case of harassment and assault on Dr. Pinto is a good example of the things we were afraid.
Now it seems that Villarejo agreed to give this interview to send a message to their enemies: I'm out front, but I can still tell many things and take a few ahead.
What remains of that interview is the realization that since 2011 the Ministry of Interior was with Fernandez Diaz  a septic tank corruption .
The PP had learned the lesson 11M afforded him and his defeat in the 2004 elections.
I was not going to let a police investigation not controlled by them ruin their life.
They used the sewers to defend the rule of law, which would Felipe González, that is, his vision of the state passing fabricate evidence when necessary if it serves to discredit the most dangerous opponents.
There is therefore a certain continuity with the dirty wars of the 80s, although in this case they have not left corpses in their wake. But there is another way to look.
In recent years the courts have jailed corrupt politicians hitherto enjoyed impunity and have accused hundreds of leaders of the PP in investigations carried out by the Police and Civil Guard.
Sewers can not always drown everything.
The question is how many Villarejos are on the payroll. Not be few.

The  documentary about the sewers do not want to see  Nine months of research and synthesized in 80 minutes from the plot revealed by analysis  public  last year.

Thanks to exclusive testimonies of Marcelino Martín de Blas (former head of the Internal Affairs Unit), José Ortega (member of the body of the Civil Guard), Jaime Barrado (former commissioner and one of the most decorated cops Spain) and senior Ministry of Interior; and, above all, to the investigation of Carlos Enrique Bayo and Patricia López, journalists from  public , first placed under the spotlight of public opinion environment illegalities and corruption within the Ministry of Interior
Interior sewers  offers a rigorous analysis of the different summaries in which have been involved prominent members of the police leadership and public has had rigor.
