¡Saludos!

Aquí estamos en Agosto, y mientras escribo esto, estoy en nuestro undécimo crucero, y por tercera vez bordeando Alaska. Si estás en Facebook con nuestros viajeros, ya sabes que algo completamente fuera de lo normal ha sucedido en este crucero. El clima que estamos experimentando es más que bueno. Está completamente fuera de lo que es normal para esta época en Alaska.


Estamos experimentando un clima tan bueno, con días totalmente soleados, que hasta los que conducen las excursiones nos dicen que nunca habían visto tan claramente los glaciares. ¡Lo interesante es que parece estar siguiendo al barco! De modo que un día tras otro, puerto tras puerto, el clima hacia donde vamos se cambia de la lluvia al sol.


Supongo que ya debiera estar acostumbrado a esto, porque también sucedió en Nueva Zelanda el año pasado en nuestra gira en Milford Sound y Monte Cook. Esos lugares eran conocidos por su tiempo constantemente impredecible. Cuando recibimos sol y cielos claros, la gente nos decía que "teníamos suerte" de disfrutar estos lugares hermosos y prístinos de maneras que muy pocos logran verlos.

Luego en Irlanda, en los acantilados de Moher, ¡sucedió otra vez! Esta región suele ser un magnífico ícono de Irlanda, asombrosos acantilados rugosos cubiertos de verdor mirando hacia una costa increíblemente impresionante con poderosas olas oceánicas. Sin embargo, por ser Irlanda, suele estar siempre la niebla y la lluvia. Se despejó completamente para nosotros - ¡pero solamente por el corto tiempo que nuestro transporte estuvo allí!

Después de esa experiencia el conductor del ómnibus me llevó aparte, me miró a los ojos y dijo: "¿Me podría dar los números para la lotería de la semana próxima?" Se notaba que el grupo de Kryon parecía llevar consigo alguna energía benévola inexplicable.


¿Puede un grupo de trabajadores de luz trabajar con el clima? ¿Es solo una coincidencia, o será posible que estemos viendo el resultado de la consciencia buena y positiva trabajando con nosotros? ¡Todo lo que sé es que hasta ahora ha sucedido demasiadas veces para que sea una coincidencia! ¿Qué ocurre?: Filman cómo el Sol detiene su propia erupción

La NASA cuenta con un gran número de instrumentos para estudiar la posibilidad de detención de las erupciones solares. Estas afectan el clima espacial, que por su parte incide sobre nuestro planeta.

Este 11 de agosto, la NASA publicó un video de lo que inicialmente parecía ser una erupción solar, pero se transformó en una estructura serpenteante conocida como filamento y finalmente colapsó.

¿Qué sucedió?

Un completo estudio del proceso, que fue publicado por 'The Astrophysical Journal', reveló que la erupción, que tuvo lugar en septiembre de 2014, fue causada por la colisión de filamentos con las fuerzas magnéticas del Sol, "como si dos iglús chocasen entre sí", tras lo cual la erupción colapsó debido a las propias fuerzas magnéticas del Sol.

Los científicos explican que el choque de la energía solar contra las estructuras magnéticas con orientación opuesta provoca la liberación de energía magnética explosiva, calienta la atmósfera con una fulguración y provoca una erupción en el espacio en forma de una gran eyección de masa coronal, es decir, una onda hecha de radiación y viento solar.

Sin embargo, esta vez "el tubo de flujo hiperbólico rompió las líneas del campo magnético del filamento y las conectó con las líneas del campo magnético del Sol", lo que permitió absorber la energía magnética del filamento, explicó el autor del estudio y físico solar del Laboratorio de Astrofísica de Palo Alto (California, EE.UU.), Georgios Chintzoglou.

¿Por qué es importante?

"Esto nos dice que, aparte del mecanismo de la erupción, necesitamos también considerar lo que la estructura naciente encuentra en el principio, y cómo podría ser detenida", añadió Chintzoglou, ya que las erupciones solares pueden afectar el clima espacial, que por su parte afecta a la Tierra.

La investigación del fenómeno fue posible debido al uso de varios instrumentos, entre ellos, el Observatorio de Dinámica Solar de la NASA, el Interface Region Imaging Spectrograph (IRIS), un satélite de observación solar de la NASA, la misión Hinode de la Agencia Japonesa de Exploración Aeroespacial (JAXA) y varios telescopios terrestres.

Estos instrumentos están diseñados para observar el Sol a diferentes longitudes de onda, es decir, no solo su superficie, sino también las partes por debajo de su atmósfera, lo que permite detectar cualquier erupción.

Monsanto sold for years a highly polluting chemical despite knowing its effects

Documents show that the multinational continued to market polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) eight years after verifying their toxic consequences for health.

Bill Sherman, deputy attorney general for the state of Washington, USA, is suing the multinational Monsanto, now owned by Germany's Bayer. The official accuses the company of having produced and sold polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) for years, knowing their harmful effects on health.

The complaint is based on more than 20,000 internal memoranda, minutes of meetings, letters and other documents that have recently come to light. Most of them were obtained thanks to the Posion Papers Project , an initiative that seeks to reveal "the hidden history" of the production of chemicals and pesticides in the United States.

"If they are authentic, these records confirm that Monsanto knew that PCB was environmentally harmful, and continued to sell it despite that," Sherman told The Guardian . The company "knew the dangers, but hid them to the public for profit, " he added.

The company, which is perhaps the largest agri-food multinational, faces not only Washington state lawsuits, but also lawsuits filed by authorities in other US locations, including Spokane, Long Beach, Portland, San Diego, San Jose, Oakland, and Berkeley. In case of being found guilty, the sanction will fall on the German company Bayer, which Monsanto bought last year.

All legal

Scott Partridge, Monsanto's vice president of global strategy, said in the Guardian's article that "more than 40 years ago," his company "voluntarily halted the production and sale of PCBs before any federal requirement to do so."

According to Partridge, during the years that the substance was manufactured "it was a legal and approved product, used in many useful applications", so the company would have "no responsibility for pollution caused by those who used or discharged PCBs in the environment".

False truths

Indeed, PCB was not banned entirely in the USA. Until 1979, when it was determined that it generated different types of diseases - among them cancer - and environmental damage. Monsanto had stopped producing the product in 1977. However, the Washington state prosecutor's investigation found that eight years earlier, in 1969, internal company documents warned of these dangers.

Bayer and Monsanto, a marriage of giants

One of the company's reports , titled "Damage to the Ecological System by PCB Contamination", pointed out that "the evidence demonstrates the persistence of these compounds and their presence in the environment." Without further epidemiological considerations, there was the possibility that "direct demands" were filed with the company, since customers who used the product had not been "officially notified about known effects, nor did [our] labels carry this information" .

Finally, in its conclusions, the document offered three possibilities: "Do nothing", "discontinue the manufacture of PCBs" or "respond in a responsible manner", admitting contamination and taking action.

Other texts and documents, revealed by internal investigations , show that the company decided to stick to the US government authorities. The responsibility to prove "case by case"and meanwhile continue to sell the product for another eight years, despite being the potential cause of "a global ecological problem."

Bill Sherman, fiscal general adjunto del estado de Washington, EE.UU., lleva adelante una demanda contra la multinacional Monsanto, hoy propiedad de la germana Bayer. El funcionario acusa a la empresa de haberproducido y vendido durante años bifenilos policlorados (PCB), a sabiendas de sus efectos perjudiciales para la salud.

La demanda se asienta en más de 20.000 memorandos internos, minutas de reuniones, cartas y otros documentos que han salido a luz pública recientemente. Monsanto había dejado de fabricar el producto en 1977. Sin embargo, la investigación del fiscal del estado de Washington descubrió que ya ocho años antes, en 1969, documentos internos de la empesa alertaban sobre estos peligros.

Bayer y Monsanto, un matrimonio de gigantes

Uno de los informes de la compañía, titulado "Daños al sistema ecológico por contaminación de PCB", apuntaba que "la evidencia demuestra la persistencia de estos compuestos y su presencia en el medio ambiente". Sin mayores consideraciones epidemiológicas, se asentaba allí la posibilidad de que le fueran incoadas  a la empresa "demandas directas", ya que los clientes que usaban el producto no habían sido "notificados oficialmente sobre efectos conocidos, ni [nuestras] etiquetas llevan esta información".

Finalmente, en sus conclusiones el documento brindaba tres posibilidades: "No hacer nada", "descontinuar la fabricación de PCB" o "responder de manera responsable", admitiendo la contaminación y tomando medidas al respecto.

Otros textos y documentos, revelados por investigaciones internas, hacen ver que la empresa decidió endilgar a las autoridedes gubernamentales de EE.UU. la responsabilidad de probar "caso por caso" y, entretanto, seguir vendiendo el producto durante otros ocho años, a pesar de ser el potencial causante de "un problema ecológico mundial".

Let this be a lesson to the GOP!  The American people won’t settle for officials who are just marginally better than the Democrats. The message is clear: honor our President, and our priorities.

GOP Senators will be facing well-funded primary challengers, in part thanks to Robert Mercer’s $300,000 donation to a PAC supporting a challenger to a prominent Republican detractor according to Fox News.

Senator Jeff Flake (R-AZ), will be facing a well-funded challenger, thanks directly to Mercer, a billionaire Trump supporter. This challenge may come from Kelli Ward, who valiantly ran against Senator McCain (R-AZ) but lost. (Most likely that race was RIGGED for McCain from the get-go)

Senator Flake has been undercutting the President consistently, including in his new bookConscience of a Conservative. In it, he implies Trump’s victory undermines the GOP’s principles, “If ultimately our principles were so malleable as to no longer be principles, then what was the point of political victories in the first place?”  (Time for regime change - the RepubliCONS are NO BETTER than the DemoRATS - BOTH need to be replaced.)

That’s an interesting argument, considering it is the Republicans who are struggling to keep their promises to the American people – not President Trump. Evidently, Senator Flake is unhappy with our increased border security, growing economy, abandonment of the TPP, and focus on law and order, all of which Trump has already delivered.  (The senators and house aretotally out of touch with Americans, and need to be DUMPED in their entirety.)

Senator Dean Heller (R-NV) will also be facing a primary challenger. He was one of the senators unable to get on board with the Republican’s first draft of health care legislation. He later supported another measure, but the changes the Republicans had to make to get most senators on board clearly did not work.  (They all have  debilitating brain disease making them unable to think, reason, use logic or move past 'go' - in short a bunch of rotten out of date stinking old farts who have poisoned the nation with their stink'n think'n.)

Many believe Republicans who cannot make constructive compromises and contribute positively to such an essential piece of legislation should not have public support.Repealing and replacing Obamacare was not just a key issue in the presidential election, but it also contributed to the support Republican senators received. If there was one goal to accomplish, it was this one, and the Senate Republicans failed.  (THROW THEM OUT!)

Heller’s challenger will be Danny Tarkanian. He is a businessman who once made a solid run at Harry Reid’s coveted Senate seat, only to lose (AGAIN - NO DOUBT A RIGGED RACE ON BEHALF OF REID AND HIS REPTILIAN MASTERS). Rory McShane, a Republican strategist, has suggested that if Tarkanian wants to win, he needs to get some organizations on his side, including the National Association of Gun Rights and the Club for Growth.  

(EXPOSE THE TRAITORS - MOST VOTERS ARE AWARE OF THE RIGGED 'ELECTIONS'.  THERE NEEDS TO BE A DIFFERENT MORE SECURE METHOD TO VOTE WHICH WOULD INSURE THAT THE TRAITORS/CHEATS WOULD BE SOUNDLY DEFEATED - MCCAIN, REID, PELOSI, AND ALL THE OTHER FILTH WE ALL KNOW ABOUT. THESE NEED TO BE ROUNDED UP, ARRESTED, AND PROSECUTED WITH SENTENCES CARRIED OUT TO THE FULLEST EXTENT OF THE LAW. THESE ARE ALL TRAITORS TO THIS NATION AND HER PEOPLE. THE ONLY ONES OPPOSING AN INVESTIGATION OF THE VOTING SYSTEM AND REVISING IT FOR SECURITY ARE THOSE WHO HAVE A LONG HISTORY OF ABUSING THE SYSTEM.) 

Senator Mitch McConnell (R-KY) has also been  pressured by Trump supporters to get in line or be replaced. It isn’t clear who will face the Majority Leader, but with the heat coming straight from President Trump’s Twitter feed, it seems likely someone will step up to the plate.

Laura Ingraham has also added her pressure to the Senator, giving voice to the feelings of frustrated Americans across the country. She said, “Hey Kentucky  – time to tell @SenateMajLdr McConnell to stop rolling over for the Dems.  Advance the Trump agenda or step aside.”

Although these challengers have lost before, something has changed in this country since the election of President Trump. The silent majority have gotten in touch with one another like never before. They have realized the power of our ballot, and have a strong agenda–Trump’s agenda–to fight for. It would be wise for anti-Trump senators to quickly change their tune.

Some GOP senators may face stiff opposition in the upcoming elections. If they haven’t supported President Trump, should they be voted out?

America - Please listen to the 'old philosopher' here!  There are allot of issues,  many concerning the future of this nation and her people, that needs to be seriously reconsidered and changes made in order for this nation to survive.  We have been manipulated and controlled for so many years by those in the crime syndicate corporation pretending to be the 'government' that the people have become lethargic and apathetic to their responsibility for the proper governing of this nation.  It is WE the People who are responsible for what goes down - what we continue to allow and overlook.  We cannot blame the problems entirely on the scum currently occupying the offices for what we continue to allow them to get away with year after year and election after 'election'.  Reminds me of cracks in the foundation of our homes. If we don't get involved and take care of those cracks, all manner of vermin can infiltrate and infect our environment.  We each need to assume the responsibility that is ours for this nation, step up to the plate and get INVOLVED beginning in  your local communities. This is what will turn the voting process around, assuring that there is oversight and control over what takes place during the elections.  Encourage those  who are interested to run for offices while the people back them 100%.  Organize and hold meetings, discuss the issues of concern and form committees with each volunteering to work in the committee that most closely meets with their concerns.  Assume responsibility for what needs to be done.  Don't complain if you are not committed to making a positive change.  The only way we will get a 'government' of, by and for the People is for US to DO what NEEDS TO BE DONE TO AFFECT A POSITIVE CHANGE FOR THE BETTER.  op
