If you asked them what life was like in prehistoric times, most people would conjure up an image like the famous opening scenes of 2001 - Space Odyssey - groups of hairy savages grunting and jumping around, foaming at the mouth with aggression as they bash each over the heads with sticks.

We take it for granted that life was much harder then, a battle to survive, with everyone competing to find food, struggling against the elements, men fighting over women, and everyone dying young from disease or malnutrition.

A whole branch of science has grown up around this view of the human race's early history.

This is relatively new discipline of evolutionary psychology, which tries to explain all of the negative sides of human nature as adaptations which early people developed because they had some survival value. Evolutionary psychologists explain traits like selfishness and aggression in these terms.

Life was such a struggle that only the most selfish and aggressive people survived and passed on their genes.

The people with gentle and peaceful genes would have died out, simply because they would have lost out in the survival battle. Evolutionary psychologists see racism and war as natural too. It's inevitable that different human groups should be hostile to one another, because once upon a time we were all living on the edge of starvation and fighting over limited resources.

Any tendency to show sympathy for other groups would have reduced our own group's survival chances.

But fortunately we don't have to believe any of this crude nonsense. There is now a massive amount of archaeological and anthropological evidence which suggests that this view of the human race's past is completely false.

Life for prehistoric human beings was far less bleak than we might imagine.

Take the view that life was a struggle to survive.

The evidence suggests that the lives of prehistoric human beings were a lot easier than those of the agricultural peoples who came after them. Until around 8000 BCE, all human beings lived as hunter-gatherers. They survived by hunting wild animals (the man's job) and foraging for wild plants, nuts, fruit and vegetables (the woman's job).

When anthropologists began to look at how contemporary hunter-gatherers use their time, they were surprised to find that they only spent 12 to 20 hours per week searching for food - between a third and a half of the average modern working week!

Because of this, the anthropologist Marshall Sahlins called hunter-gatherers the original affluent society. As he noted in his famous paper of that name, for hunter-gatherers,

The food quest is so successful that half the time the people do not seem to know what to do with themselves. ^[1]

Strange though it may sound - the diet of hunter-gatherers was better than many modern peoples'.

Apart from the small amount of meat they ate (10%-20% of their diet), their diet was practically identical to that of a modern day vegan - no dairy products and a wide variety of fruits, vegetables, roots and nuts, all eaten raw (which nutrition experts tell us is the healthiest way to eat.)

This partly explains why skeletons of ancient hunter-gatherers are surprisingly large and robust, and show few signs of degenerative diseases and tooth decay.

As the anthropologist Richard Rudgley writes,

We know from what they ate and the condition of their skeletons that the hunting people were, on the whole, in pretty good shape. ^[2]

The hunter-gatherers of Greece and Turkey had an average height of five feet ten inches for men and five feet six for women.

But after the advent of agriculture, these had declined to five feet three and five feet one. An archaeological site in the lower Illinois Valley in central USA shows that when people started cultivating maize and switched to a settled lifestyle, there was an increase in infant mortality, stunted growth in adults, and a massive increase in diseases related to malnutrition.

Hunter-gatherers were much less vulnerable to disease than later peoples.

In fact, until the advances of modern medicine and hygiene of the 19th and 20th centuries, they may well have suffered less from disease than any other human beings in history. Many of the diseases which we're now susceptible to only actually arrived when we domesticated animals and started living close to them.

Animals transmitted a whole host of diseases to us which we'd never been exposed to before.

Pigs and ducks passed the flu on, horses gave us colds, cows gave us the pox and dogs gave us the measles.

And later, when dairy products became a part of our diet, we increased our exposure to disease even more through drinking milk, which transmits at least 30 different diseases. In view of this, it's not surprising that with the coming of agriculture, people's life spans became shorter.

The transition from a nomadic hunter-gatherer way of life to a settled agricultural one began in the Middle East at around 8000 BCE, spreading into Europe and Asia over the following millennia (and developing independently in some places).

Many of the world's cultures have myths that refer an earlier time when life was much easier, and human beings were less materialistic and lived in harmony with nature and each other.

• In ancient Greece and Rome this was known as the Golden Age
• In China it was the Age of Perfect Virtue
• In India it was the Krita Yuga (Perfect Age)
• In the Judeo-Christian tradition has the story of the garden of Eden

These myths tell us that, either as a result of a long degeneration or a sudden and dramatic Fall, something went wrong.

Life became much more difficult and full of suffering, and human nature became more corrupt.

In Taoist terms, whereas the earliest human beings followed the Way of Heaven and were a part of the natural harmony of the universe, later human beings became separated from the Tao, and became selfish and calculating.

Many of these myths make clear references to the hunter-gatherer way of life - for example, the Greek historian Hesiod states that,

during the Golden Age the fruitful earth bore [human beings] abundant fruit without stint,

...while the early Indian text the Vaya Purana states that,

early human beings frequented the mountains and seas, and did not dwell in houses (i.e. they lived a non-sedentary way of life).

The garden of Eden story suggests this too.

Originally Adam and Eve ate the fruit from the tree of knowledge, until they were forced to leave the garden and forced to work hard and sweat to make the soil produce anything. It appears that, at least in part, these myths are a kind of folk memory of the pre-agricultural way of life.

The agricultural peoples who worked harder and longer, had shorter life spans and suffered from a lot more health problems must have looked at the old hunter-gatherer way of life as a kind of paradise.

Warfare and Social Oppression
There are other significant reasons why these peoples would have seen earlier times as a Golden Age.

There is a great deal of evidence suggesting that prehistoric human beings were much less war-like than later peoples. Archaeological studies throughout the world have found hardly any evidence of warfare during the whole of the hunter-gatherer phase of history. There are, in fact, just two indisputable cases of group violence during all of these tens of thousands of years.

A cluster of sites around the Nile Valley show some signs of violence from around 12,000 BCE.

The site of Jebel Sahaba, for instance, has a grave containing the bodies of over 50 people who apparently died a violent death. And in south-east Australia, there are some signs of inter-tribal fighting - as well as of other kinds of social violence such as the cranial deformation of children - at several different sites dating from 11,000 and 7,000 BCE.

Lawrence Keeley's book War Before Civilizationsuggests several other examples of prehistoric violence and warfare, but all of these are dubious, and have been dismissed by other scholars.

For example, Keeley sees cut marks on human bones as evidence of cannibalism, when these are more likely to be the result of prehistoric funeral rituals of cleaning bones of their flesh. He also interprets highly abstract and stylized drawings in caves in Australia as depicting battles, when they are open to wide variety of other interpretations.

In this way, as the anthropologist R. Brian Fergusonremarks, Keeley's rhetoric exceeds his evidence in implying war is old as humanity. ^[3]

The lack of evidence for warfare is striking. There are no signs of violent death, no signs of damage or disruption by warfare, and although many other artifacts have been found, including massive numbers of tools and pots, there is a complete absence of weapons. As Ferguson points out, it is difficult to understand how war could have been common earlier in each area and remain so invisible.

Archaeologists have discovered over 300 cave prehistoric art galleries , not one of which contains depictions of warfare, weapons or warriors.

In the words of the anthropologist Richard Gabriel,

For the first ninety-five thousand years after the Homo sapiens Stone age began [until 4,000 BC], there is no evidence that man engaged in war on any level, let alone on a level requiring organized group violence.

There is little evidence of any killing at all. ^[4]

There seems to have been equality between the sexes in prehistoric times too.

The fact that women provided so much of the tribe's food strongly suggests that they had equal status, since it's difficult to see how they could have low status while performing such an important economic role.

The healthy, open attitude ancient hunter-gatherers had to the human body and to sex - shown by the massive numbers of sexually explicit images and objects archaeologists have discovered - suggests this too, since the oppression of women appears to be closely linked to a sense of alienation from the human body, and a negative attitude to instincts and bodily processes.

Contemporary indigenous peoples are sexually egalitarian too.

Before European conquest and colonization, many of them traced descent and ownership of property through the mother's rather than the father's side of the family.

And as the anthropologist Tim Ingold notes,

in immediate return hunter-gatherer societies (that is, societies which live by immediately using any food or other resources they collect, rather than storing them for later use), men have no authority over women.

Women usually choose their own marriage partners, decide what work they want to do and work whenever they choose to, and if a marriage breaks down they have custody rights over their children. ^[5]

In prehistoric societies there were no status differences between individuals either. There were no different classes or castes, with people who had more power and possessions than others.

For archaeologists, the most obvious signs of social inequality are differences in graves, in terms of size, position and the goods which are placed inside them.

Later agricultural societies have larger, more central graves for more important people, which also have a lot more possessions inside them. Men generally have more important graves than women.

But the graves of the ancient hunter-gatherers are strikingly uniform, with little or no size differences and little or no grave wealth. Almost all contemporary hunter-gatherers show a striking absence of any of the characteristics that we associate with social inequality.

The anthropologist James Woodburn speaks of,

the profound egalitarianism of immediate-return foraging peoples and emphasizes that no other way of human life permits so great an emphasis on equality. ^[6]

Foraging peoples are also strikingly democratic.

Most societies do operate with a leader of some kind, but their power is usually very limited, and they can easily be deposed if the rest of the group aren't happy with their leadership.

People don't seek to be leaders - in fact if anybody does show signs of a desire for power and wealth they are usually barred from consideration as leaders. And even when a person becomes a leader, they don't have the right to make decisions on their own.

Decisions are made in co-operation with other respected members of the group.

The Ego Explosion
All of this strongly argues against the idea that prehistoric human being were 'brutes' whose only concern was survival, and whose lives were full of cruelty and conflict, as men competed against each other for status and food and sex.

Warfare, social oppression and male domination - and an existence that was nasty, brutish and short - belong to a later phase of human history.

Evidence from artwork, cemeteries and battle sites suggests that there was an eruption of these social pathologies during the 4^th millennium BCE, starting in the Middle East and central Asia.

The root cause of this change seems to have been 'environmental.'

Around this time massive areas of land which had been fertile for thousands of years started to turn into desert. This happened all over the Middle East and central Asia, creating the massive belt of arid or desert land which runs across from the Steppes of southern Russia to the Arabian and Iranian deserts.

The groups who lived in the area - including the original Indo-Europeans and Semites - were forced to flee and look for new fertile lands, causing massive waves of migrations.

This environmental disaster seems to have changed the psyche of these peoples. Whereas before they had been peaceful and egalitarian, now they became aggressive, hierarchical and patriarchal.

Over the following centuries, they spread over the Europe, Middle East and Asia, killing and conquering the peaceful Old World peoples they came across, including the civilization of Old Europe (which was reconstructed by the archaeologist Marija Gimbutas).

By 500 BCE, these peoples had more or less completely conquered the whole of Eurasia, leaving only a few indigenous peoples such as the Laplanders of Scandinavia, the tribal peoples of Siberia, and the indigenous peoples of the forests and hills of India.

In mainland Europe the only surviving non-Indo-European indigenous peoples were the Basque people of northern Spain (who amazingly still survive today) and the Etruscans of Italy, who were soon to be wiped out by the Romans.

In my book The Fall, I try to explain how these people were (and are) different from the peaceful peoples who came before them.

My theory is that the environmental catastrophe (the drying up their fertile lands) caused an Ego Explosion. These peoples developed a stronger and sharper sense of identity, or of individuality, which made them feel more separate to nature and to other people, and more liable to be aggressive and to lust after power and status.

We - modern day Eurasians - are the descendents of these peoples, and we have inherited their strong sense of ego.

This is still the main difference between us and indigenous unfallen peoples such as the Native Americans, Australian Aborigines and the peoples of Oceania, and the reason why they have much more respectful attitude to nature than us, and a more spiritual vision of the universe.

Our strong sense of ego walls us off from other people and nature, makes us unable to sense the alive-ness of the world around us, and may ultimately be responsible for our extinction as a species.

However, there are some signs that, as a culture, we are slowly transcending the fallen psyche, and going beyond our ego-separateness.

Over the last three hundred years or so, there has been a new spirit of empathy growing, which has led to less cruel treatment of children and animals, less severe punishments for criminals, the women's movement, the abolition of slavery, the socialist movement, a new respect for nature, a more open and healthy attitude to sex and the human body and so on.

And there has been a new sense of the sacred and of the possibility of self-transcendence, which has led to a massive upsurge of interest in esoteric/spiritual philosophies and practices like paganism, shamanism, Buddhism, meditation and so on.

There are signs that we are reconnecting with nature, regaining our sense of the aliveness of the world and of the hidden mysteries of the cosmos.

The characteristics of the prehistoric golden age may be slowly re-emerging. The only question is whether there is enough time left for these characteristics to emerge fully, before the old fallen psyche leads us to self-destruction.

The idea that human history is a gradual but continual progression - starting from a state of savagery, with generations slowly making technological and social advances and passing these down, and leading to the pinnacle of western European civilisation - is a leftover from the Victorian era, part of the same colonial mentality which saw primitive indigenous peoples as sub-humans who could be justifiably conquered and killed.

Rather than a progression, the last 6000 years of war, oppression, misery and hardship are the result of a painful degeneration from an earlier, healthier state.

We may finally be moving forward now - but only in the sense of turning a full circle, and rekindling glimmers of ancient harmony.

The Suppressed History of Planeta Earth

No longer will they be able to sup at the trough of Darwinism, enjoying soft jobs with huge salaries." Ancient History that has UFO Science links to Ancient Wisdom gets suppressed. For instance Academia covers up evidence of Ancient Egyptians in Britain. Ancient Egyptians fleeing the backlash against heretic pharaoh Akhenaten, came to live in Britain around 1354 BC. The archaeological evidence is being ignored by Academia so as to maintain the existing dogmatic view of history that the Ancient Egyptians had never traveled that far.  An Egyptian boat was found at Ferriby, nearly fifty years ago, and promptly ignored by Academia. Lorraine Evans puts together the pieces of ignored evidence that exists in Museums, in her bookKingdom of the Ark, claiming the ancient British race is descended from the Pharaohs. As to why Academia ignores the evidence that contradicts their dogma, she concludes: "The fact that I had unearthed so many pieces of evidence, archaeological and historical, to show Egyptian settlement in the British Isles raised one question. Why had this all been ignored in academic circles? One of the main reasons, I felt, was that if such information was readily accepted then academia would rapidly have to rewrite huge chunks of history. This would throw certain traditional `historical facts' into tremendous doubt. It is important to stress that many academics' careers are based on these 'facts' and to disprove them overnight would make these people redundant, During the research for this book, I soon discovered that some academics were quite willing to share their work off the record, but when it came to committing it to print they soon backed down and a wall of silence greeted me. None of them, it appeared, wanted to put their jobs on the line, to tell the truth, The sad reality of the matter is that we are relying on these people to tell us our history, but they seem content to operate under a veil of academic censorship. On a Saturday afternoon in the British Museum, hordes of tourists walk nonchalantly by some of the greatest collections of artifacts from the ancient world. As cameras flash and people pose by the more famous exhibits, there stands, in the Medieval Gallery, possibly the most important piece in the entire museum. By a dimly lit case rests the ancient stone of Llywel. The British Museum extracted from Chapter 12 - How Britain Became England . "In this Iron Age Gallery there is the Ogham Stone standing by the first table-case that you passed when you came into the room. It is a grave slab from Ireland. Then there is the Llywel Stone at the other end of the room, and as it has the same inscriptions in Latin and Ogham, you can make out the Ogham alphabet." Unearthed in a farmer's field in Wales in 1843, it was sold to the British Museum for the meager sum of £10.00. An ornately carved piece of rock, its true importance appears to have been belittled by its placement. The most significant carving on this stone seems to have been deliberately obfuscated by the powers that be. Turned facing the wall, and impossible to view, there is a clear representation of a person dressed in Egyptian garb leaving the pyramids of Egypt on his journey to the west..." We rely too much on Academia to tell us the truth, when ‘they’ are not really interested in the ‘truth’. The version of history ‘they’ give us is a fiction, which ‘they’ are quite happy to support because its their money-earner. Why do people waste their time trying to make sense of the UFO phenomenon within the context of the Belief system that these Academics have set up for us? The whole of history is wrong. And these Academics are contented to maintain that illusion. If you accept that Ancient Egyptians were in Britain, then our history needs a great deal of amending. When Christianity was imposed on Europe, we underwent a history rewrite, and ever since that time people have tried to maintain that false history imposed upon us, ignoring the evidence to the contrary. The Renaissance was started by the rediscovery of Ancient texts from the Greeks etc. One of the most influential was the Writings of Thoth-Hermes, which was religion, philosophy and science. It influenced scientists such as Newton, Leonardo da Vinci etc. Then in the 17th century the writings were all declared a hoax, and one of the most important reasons it was thought a hoax, was because the religious message in the writings were too much a mixture of Christianity, Islam, Buddhism, Judaism etc., that if true it meant all the existing religious beliefs were wrong. Over the past 2000 years it has all been about religion. Some people want to believe such and such, and will alter the facts or ignore the facts so that they can continue to believe their delusions. Long before Daniken, there were some people saying that the Ancients were far more advanced than they should have been. For instance: Dr. Soddy, a scientist famous for his researches into Radioactivity, saw the links between his Radioactivity researches and Ancient Wisdom. He delivered a series of lectures in 1908 explaining the latest discoveries of radioactivity to the general public and in his 1909 book Interpretation of Radium, he wondered if the Ancients had already known about radioactivity. He says as follows: "The world probably being of much greater antiquity than physical science has thought to be possible, it is interesting and harmless to speculate whether man has shared with the world its more remote history. i.e. wonders if mankind has as long a history as our planet’s. And continues: In this connection it is curious how strangely some of the old myths and legends about matter and man appear in the light of the recent knowledge. Consider, for example, the ancient mystic symbol of matter, known as Ouroboros - "the tail devourer" - which was a serpent, coiled into a circle with the head devouring the tail, and bearing the central motto, "The whole is one." This symbolizes evolution; moreover, it is evolution of matter - the very latest aspect of evolution - the existence of which was strenuously denied by Clerk Maxwell and others of only last century. The idea which arises in one's mind as the most attractive and consistent explanation of the universe in the light of present knowledge is, perhaps, that matter is breaking down and its energy being evolved and degraded in one part of a cycle of evolution, and in another part, still unknown to us, the matter is being again built up with the utilization of the waste energy. If one wished to symbolize such an idea, in what better way could it be done than by the ancient tail-devouring serpent ? For example, recognizes that the Ancients talked in symbolism, and was a universal symbolism across the Ancient world. Tie that back to Evans' discovery of Ancient Egyptians in Britain, and Academia wanting to deny the evidence. Some of the beliefs and legends which have come down to us from antiquity are so universal and deep rooted that we are accustomed to consider them almost as old as the race itself. One is tempted to inquire how far the unsuspected aptness of some of these beliefs and sayings to the point of view so recently disclosed is the result of mere chance or coincidence, and how far it may he evidence of a wholly unknown and unsuspected ancient civilization of which all other relic has disappeared. It is curious to reflect, for example, upon the remarkable legend of the philosopher's stone, one of the oldest and most universal beliefs, the origin on which however far back we penetrate into the records of the past, we do not probably trace to its real source. The philosopher's stone was accredited the power not only of transmuting the metals, but of acting as the elixir of life. Now whatever the origin of this apparently meaningless jumble of ideas may have been, it is really a perfect and but very slightly allegorical expression of the actual present views we hold today. It does not require much effort of the imagination to see in energy the life of the physical universe, and the key to the primary fountains of the physical life of the universe today is known to be transmutation. Is, then, this old association of the power of transmutation with the elixir of life merely a coincidence? I prefer to believe it may be an echo from one of many previous epochs in the unrecorded history of the world, of an age of men which have trod before the road we are treading today, in a past possibly so remote that even the very atoms of its civilization literally have had time to disintegrate. Let us give the imagination a moment's further free scope in this direction, however, before closing. What if this point of view that has now suggested itself is true; and we may trust ourselves to the slender foundation afforded by the traditions and superstitions which have been handed down to us from a prehistoric time? Can we not read into them some justification for the belief that some former forgotten race of men attained not only to the knowledge we have so recently won, but also to the power that is not yet ours? Science has reconstructed the story of the past as one of a continuous Ascent of Man to the present-day level of his powers. In face of the circumstantial evidence existing of this steady upward progress of the race, the traditional view of the Fall of Man from a higher former state has come to be more and more difficult to understand, From our new standpoint the two points of view are by no means so irreconcilable as they appeared. A race which could transmute matter would have little need to earn its bread by the sweat of its brow. If we can judge from what our engineers accomplish with their comparatively restricted supplies of energy, such a race could transform a desert continent, thaw the frozen poles, and make the whole world one smiling Garden of Eden. Possibly they could explore the outer realms of space emigrating to more favorable worlds as the superfluous today emigrate to more favorable continents, The legend of the Fall of Man, possibly, may be all that has survived of such a time before, for some unknown reason, the whole world was plunged back again under the undisputed sway of Nature, to begin once more its upward toilsome journey through the ages. Dr. Soddy makes the connections that the Ancients were talking in a symbolic manner as regards their science. That there could have been a forgotten civilization. That our science could be rediscovering their Ancient knowledge. Surely an interesting area for Academia to investigate? And does Academia decide to investigate? Answer - no they do not. Instead they choose to wait for amateurs such as Daniken to investigate this subject, and then set up a campaign to mock him and his followers. Academia is not interested in anything other thanmaintaining their existing dogma. All attempts to explain UFOs within existingAcademic Beliefs are doomed to failure. The framework of beliefs that UFO investigators are expected to agree with and earn the title of being Scientific in their studies is an illusion. And the science that really works, get dismissed as superstitious nonsense - Magick, paranormal, supernatural. Now if you have a large number of people dancing wildly round in a ring, you obviously generate a great deal of this bio-electricity,living electricity. If you carry out this performance in rings formed of stones with gaps between them, you have a form of dynamo. It has been shown that the electromagnetic fields of stones, trees and water will absorb bio-electricity from outsideand this is the probable reason why some people see ghosts in situations which were favorable to such impressions being preserved. I have elsewhere suggested the names of oared fields for those of stones, dryad fields for those of trees and naiad fields for those of streams in accordance with the Greek belief that nymphs with these names were to be found in such places. ...my wife and I experienced electric shocks when trying to date the stones of the circle of the Merry Maidens in Cornwall. The bio-electronic force had been stored at one time by the exertion of dancers in that circle and it had never been taken out again. The circle is still complete. But why did anybody wish to store up electronic power in such places? What possible use could it be put to? Well, experiments with the pendulum have shown that the electronic fields about an object are double cones of limitless height and depth. It has also been shown that a pendulum length of the same radius as the base of the double cone will register contact with that cone. If, then, you had an apparatus in a flying machine set to the right wave-length, you could pick up the rays from the stored energy in the stones and home in it like the moth to its mate. These rings of stones could have been used both as visible and invisible navigational beacons." Lethbridge, I think was onto something, but that line of science inquiry by Academia is suppressed as much as Academia suppresses the proper history... That’s why Academia like to ignore the evidence that Ancient Egyptians came to Britain, it would mean everything else they have been building up for so long is a house of cards waiting to fall down. Everything that Academia likes to suppress fits together to give a different perspective on UFOs, and starts to look like it could be true. So, how can ‘they’ maintain this deception any longer? Easy - offer out the 'carrot' to UFO researchers, if you want respectability then you need the title of being Scientific, and to get that title you have to agree to maintaining as much of the ‘house of cards’ delusion as possible. If a lot of people are given the task of preventing these cards from falling over, then it may be the delusion can be propped up for a few more thousand years. Its amazing what humans are capable of achieving when they set their mind to it. They can maintain delusional belief systems through untold generations by teaching it as dogma, setting it as exams and allowing progress in Society’s pecking order, only if you believe the lies. Los Antiguos Egipcios huyendo del contragolpe en contra del herético faraón Akhenaton, vinieron a vivir en Gran Bretaña alrededor de 1,354 A.C. La evidencia arqueológica está siendo ignorada por la Academia, como para mantener el punto de vista existente del dogma sobre la historia de que los Antiguos Egipcios nunca viajaron tan lejos.

¿Porqué la gente pierden su tiempo tratando de encontrarle sentido al fenómeno OVNI dentro del contexto del sistema de Creencia, que estos Académicos han arreglado para nosotros?

La historia entera es incorrecta. Y estos Académicos se contentan con mantener esa ilusión. Si usted acepta que los Antiguos Egipcios estuvieron en Gran Bretaña, entonces nuestra historia necesita muchas enmiendas. Cuando fue impuesta en Europa la Cristiandad, nos sometimos a una reescritura de la historia, y desde esos tiempos, la gente ha tratado de mantener esa falsa historia impuesta sobre nosotros, ignorando la evidencia de lo contrario.

El Dr. Soddy, un famoso científico por sus investigaciones en la Radioactividad, vio el vínculo entre sus investigaciones y la Sabiduría Antigua.

El entregó una serie de conferencias en 1908, explicando los últimos descubrimientos sobre la radioactividad al público general, y en su libro de 1909 Interpretación del Radium, él se preguntaba si los Antiguos habrían ya conocido la radioactividad.

La idea que surge en la mente de uno, como la explicación más atractiva y consistente del universo a la luz del conocimiento actual es, quizás, que la materia está resquebrajándose, y su energía está siendo desarrollada y degradada en una parte de un ciclo de evolución, y en la otra parte, todavía desconocida a nosotros, la materia está siendo construida de nuevo con la utilización de la energía de desperdicio.

Si uno quisiera simbolizar tal idea, ¿de que mejor manera podría ser hecho que como la antigua serpiente devorando su cola?

Es decir, reconoce que los Antiguos hablaban en simbolismos, y era un simbolismo universal a través del mundo antiguo. Junte esto con el descubrimiento de Evans, de los Antiguos Egipcios en Bretaña, y la Academia queriendo negar la evidencia.

La ciencia ha reconstruido la historia del pasado como una continua Ascensión del Hombre hasta el nivel actual de sus poderes.

En vista de la evidencia circunstancial existente en este constante progreso ascendente de la raza, el punto de vista tradicional del la Caída del Hombre de un estado anterior más alto ha venido a ser cada vez más difícil de entender.

Desde nuestro nuevo punto de vista, ambos puntos de vista no son tan irreconciliables como parecía. Una raza que podía transmutar material tendría poca necesidad de ganarse el pan con el sudor de su frente.
