My dear friends, we love you so very much,
There are times in your life when it seems like everything is going crazy. There are times upon your earth where you feel the same. Yet in the midst of the so-called chaos a greater order is emerging.
Sometimes what is not working must be revealed to be healed. Sometimes you need an outer reflection of what has been blocking you from within. Sometimes you are simply seeing the effects of past creations, in stark contrast to what you desire now.
When you feel your life has become chaotic and you don’t know how to fix it, be still. Sit. Breathe. Receive. Your angels and the Divine are always there for you, just waiting to assist you if you’ll allow for it. When you don’t know what to do next, God does. When you don’t know where to turn, turn inward. When you don’t know how you’ll get through something, remind yourself you don’t have to know how to handle anything but the present moment.
Breathe. Love is always with you dear ones. Love is always trying to assist you. Love is always trying to solve your problems, address your challenges, heal you, inspire you, and uplift you. Love is always attempting to flow. You have your hands on the faucet. Will you allow a trickle into your life by trying to handle challenges on your own, or will you allow a great flow of grace to assist you? It is always there.
If the moment you had a problem, instead of allowing the mind to spin its wheels and confuse you, you could sit, breathe, and receive, then you would immediately begin to receive our guidance.
Dear ones, we love you so much. You are surrounded by and indeed sourced by the love of the Divine. This power of love wants to help you with every single challenge you face and, if you allow for it, can help to create absolute miracles in your lives.

Monsanto pagará $ 289.2 millones en Landmark Roundup Demanda por veredicto

Un jurado de San Francisco emitió hoy un veredicto en el caso de un ex jardinero con cáncer terminal contra Monsanto Company , ordenando al gigante agroquímico pagar $ 39.2 millones en daños compensatorios y $ 250 millones en daños punitivos por  no advertir a los consumidores que la exposición al herbicida Roundup causa cancer.

Dewayne "Lee" Johnson presentó la demanda (caso No. CGC-16-550128) contra Monsanto Co., con sede en St. Louis, el 28 de enero de 2016, alegando exposición al herbicida Roundup que roció mientras trabajaba como jardinero de la Benicia El Distrito Escolar Unificado hizo que desarrollara un linfoma no Hodgkin (NHL).

El 18 de junio de 2018, su caso fue asignado a la jueza Suzanne Ramos Bolanos para el Tribunal Superior de San Francisco, California. El caso de Johnson fue el primero de su tipo en proceder a juicio debido a su diagnóstico terminal.

Después de ocho semanas de juicio, el jurado determinó por unanimidad que el herbicida Roundup de Monsanto basado en glifosato causó que Johnson desarrollara NHL, y que Monsanto no advirtió sobre este grave peligro para la salud. Es importante destacar que el jurado también encontró que Monsanto actuó con malicia, opresión o fraude y debería ser castigado por su conducta.

Monsanto Co. continúa negándose a advertir a los consumidores sobre los peligros de su producto multimillonario Roundup, a pesar de la principal autoridad mundial en cáncer, la Agencia Internacional para la Investigación del Cáncer (IARC), que enlista al glifosato como probable carcinógeno en 2015.

Lee Johnson es una de las más de 4,000 personas de todo el país que presentaron una demanda contra Monsanto en los tribunales estatales y federales en base a acusaciones que vinculan al Roundup con el cáncer.

Fue representado en el juicio por  Brent Wisner de Baum, Hedlund, Aristei y Goldman ,  David Dickens de la firma Miller  y  Mark Burton de Audet & Partners LLP.

El abogado de primera instancia, Brent Wisner, dijo que el veredicto de hoy fue el resultado de documentos corporativos confidenciales recientemente revelados.

"Finalmente pudimos mostrarle al jurado los documentos internos y secretos de Monsanto demostrando que Monsanto sabía desde hace décadas que el glifosato y específicamente Roundup podrían causar cáncer", dijo Wisner. "A pesar de que la Agencia de Protección Ambiental no solicitó el etiquetado, estamos orgullosos de que un jurado independiente siguiera la evidencia y utilizara su voz para enviar un mensaje a Monsanto de que sus años de engaño respecto al Roundup han terminado y que deben poner la seguridad del consumidor primero "

Durante años, Monsanto ha afirmado que no hay evidencia de que Roundup cause cáncer, sin embargo, una  montaña de testimonios y documentos fue admitida durante el juicio. Los abogados de Johnson probaron, a través del testimonio de los testigos de Monsanto, que los empleados de la compañía "escribieron a escondidas" artículos científicos y pagaron a científicos externos para que publicaran los artículos en su nombre.

Documentos internos revelaron que un asesor científico contratado por Monsanto le dijo a la compañía que las pruebas pasadas para Roundup no eran suficientes porque el glifosato, el ingrediente activo en Roundup, se probó de manera aislada sin los otros ingredientes químicos que componen la formulación Roundup.

"Muchos de estos documentos confidenciales de Monsanto fueron revelados por primera vez", dijo el asesor principal David Dickens. "Muestran que Monsanto sabía que sus pruebas eran insuficientes y que había un efecto sinérgico cuando el glifosato se combinaba con surfactantes que ayudan al el glifosato penetra las paredes celulares tanto vegetales como animales ".

En otros documentos ahora públicos, los empleados de Monsanto reaccionaron al  listado de glifosato de la EPA de California como carcinógeno  al llamar a los californianos "liberales y tarados", abrumando a Monsanto como una "película de zombis" que tuvieron que sacar de a uno a partir del 2016. elecciones presidenciales.

Además de escuchar a los testigos expertos, el jurado escuchó el testimonio desgarrador de Lee Johnson y su esposa, Araceli.

Araceli recordó para el jurado las muchas noches sin dormir que Lee pasó llorando en la cama cuando sus hijos no estaban cerca. "Trató de ocultarlo, y creo que intentó mostrar que era fuerte", dijo. "Trató de ser positivo; él quería ser ... para nosotros y los niños ".

Luego de que su esposo comenzara la quimioterapia, Araceli tomó un segundo trabajo trabajando 14 horas diarias para ayudar a pagar los crecientes gastos médicos de la familia mientras aún llevaba a sus dos hijos 45 minutos adicionales al Distrito Escolar del Valle de Napa con la esperanza de brindarles mejores oportunidades educativas.

Cuando Lee subió al estrado, le dijo al jurado lo asustado y confundido que estaba después de recibir la noticia de que tenía cáncer. También describió las veces que contactó a Monsanto para ver si las lesiones cutáneas que desarrolló estaban relacionadas con su uso de Roundup. Cuando no recibió noticias de la compañía, continuó usando el herbicida.

En particular, Johnson testificó que nunca habría usado Roundup si hubiera sabido de los peligros, y acusó a Monsanto de ocultar los riesgos de seguridad de Roundup para seguir beneficiándose de su herbicida de mil millones de dólares.

Las firmas son conocidas a nivel nacional y manejan casos complejos de responsabilidad por productos defectuosos, entre otras, y ocupan posiciones de liderazgo en el litigio federal y estatal de Monsanto Roundup. Monsanto enfrenta más de 4,000 casos de cáncer Roundup en todo el país y ese número está creciendo.

El próximo juicio contra el cáncer Roundup contra Monsanto también es un caso estatal y está programado para ocurrir en octubre en St. Louis, Missouri. Ahora que el juez en el litigio federal multisitio (basado en el Tribunal de Distrito de los Estados Unidos para el Distrito Norte de California en San Francisco) ha aceptado a varios de los expertos de los demandantes para declarar, las fechas de los juicios federales deben anunciarse en los próximos meses.

Monsanto to Pay $289.2M in Landmark Roundup Lawsuit Verdict

A San Francisco jury returned a verdict today in the case of a former groundskeeper with terminal cancer against Monsanto Company, ordering the agrochemical giant to pay $39.2 million in compensatory damages and $250 million in punitive damages for failing to warn consumers that exposure to Roundup weed killer causes cancer.

Dewayne “Lee” Johnson filed the lawsuit (case no. CGC-16-550128) against St. Louis-based Monsanto Co. on Jan. 28, 2016, alleging exposure to the Roundup herbicide he sprayed while working as a groundskeeper for the Benicia Unified School District caused him to develop non-Hodgkin lymphoma (NHL).

On June 18, 2018, his case was assigned to Judge Suzanne Ramos Bolanos for the Superior Court of San Francisco, California. Johnson’s case was the first of its kind to proceed to trial due to his terminal diagnosis.

After eight weeks of trial proceedings, the jury found unanimously that Monsanto’s glyphosate-basedRoundup weed killer caused Mr. Johnson to develop NHL, and that Monsanto failed to warn of this severe health hazard. Importantly, the jury also found that Monsanto acted with malice, oppression or fraud and should be punished for its conduct.

Monsanto Co. continues to refuse to warn consumers of the dangers of its multi-billion-dollar product Roundup despite the world’s foremost authority on cancer—the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC)—listing glyphosate as a probable carcinogen in 2015.

Lee Johnson is one of more than 4,000 people from across the country to file suit against Monsanto in state and federal courts based on allegations linking Roundup to cancer.

He was represented at trial by Brent Wisner of Baum, Hedlund, Aristei and Goldman, David Dickens of the Miller Firm and Mark Burton of Audet & Partners LLP.

Co-lead trial counsel Brent Wisner said today’s verdict was a result of newly-revealed, confidential company documents.

"We were finally able to show the jury the secret, internal Monsanto documents proving that Monsanto has known for decades that glyphosate and specifically Roundup could cause cancer," Wisner said. "Despite the Environmental Protection Agency’s failure to require labeling, we are proud that an independent jury followed the evidence and used its voice to send a message to Monsanto that its years of deception regarding Roundup is over and that they should put consumer safety first over profits."

For years Monsanto has claimed that there is no evidence that Roundup causes cancer, yet a mountain of testimony and documents was admitted during the trial. Johnson’s attorneys proved through testimony from Monsanto’s witnesses that company employees “ghostwrote” scientific articles and paid outside scientists to publish the articles in their name.

Internal documents revealed that a scientific advisor hired by Monsanto told the company that past testing for Roundup was insufficient because glyphosate, the active ingredient in Roundup, was tested in isolation without the other chemical ingredients that make up the Roundup formulation.

"Many of these confidential Monsanto documents were unsealed for the first time,” co-lead counsel David Dickens said. “They show that Monsanto knew that its testing was insufficient and that there was a synergistic effect when glyphosate is combined with surfactants which help the glyphosate penetrate both plant and animal cell walls.”

In other now-public documents, Monsanto employees reacted to California EPA’s listing of glyphosate as a carcinogen by calling Californians “liberals and morons,” overwhelming Monsanto like a “zombie movie” that they had to take out one at a time starting with the 2016 presidential election.

In addition to hearing from expert witnesses, the jury listened to heart-wrenching testimony from Lee Johnson and his wife, Araceli.

Araceli recalled for the jury the many sleepless nights Lee spent crying in bed when his children were not around. “He tried to hide it, and I think he tried to show that he was strong,” she said. “He tried to be positive; he wanted to be…for us and the kids.”

After her husband began chemotherapy, Araceli took a second job working 14-hour days to help pay the family’s rising medical bills while still driving her two sons an extra 45 minutes to Napa Valley School District in hopes of providing them better educational opportunities.

When Lee took the stand, he told the jury how scared and confused he was after receiving the news that he had cancer. He also described the times he contacted Monsanto to see if the skin lesions he developed were related to his use of Roundup. When he did not hear back from the company, he continued to use the herbicide.

Most notably, Johnson testified that he would never have used Roundup if he had known of the dangers, and accused Monsanto of concealing Roundup’s safety risks to continue profiting from its billion-dollar herbicide.

“I never would’ve sprayed that product on school grounds or around people if I knew it would cause them harm,” Johnson said during emotional testimony. “It’s unethical. It’s wrong. People don’t deserve that.”

A team of lawyers from three law firms represented Mr. Johnson in this trial: The Miller Firm, LLC of Orange, Virginia, Baum, Hedlund, Aristei & Goldman, P.C. of Los Angeles and Audet & Partners LLP of San Francisco. These firms represent thousands of Roundup cancer plaintiffs across the nation.

The firms are nationally known and handle complex product liability cases, among others, and hold leadership positions in the federal and California state Monsanto Roundup litigation. Monsanto faces more than 4,000 Roundup cancer cases nationwide and that number is growing.

The next Roundup cancer trial against Monsanto is also a state case and is scheduled to occur in October in St. Louis, Missouri. Now that the judge in the federal multi-district litigation (based in U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California in San Francisco), has accepted several of the plaintiffs’ experts to testify, trial dates for the federal bellwether cases should be announced in the next couple of months
