EE.UU. intentan sobornar a Telegram para acceder a su red

“La encriptación de Signal (además de Whatsapp y Facebook) la financió el Gobierno de los EE.UU.”, dijo el fundador de este servicio ruso de mensajería.

El espionaje de Estados Unidos puede llegar al servicio de mensajería instantánea Telegram, según informó a través de Twitter, su fundador, el ruso Pavel Durov. 

Aseguró que durante una visita a los EE.UU. dos agencias de ese país sobornaron a sus desarrolladores para “comprometer la seguridad de la aplicación con una puerta trasera que facilitase su acceso”. También afirmó que él mismo ha sufrido presiones del FBI estadounidense.

Durov, fundador también de VKontakte, una versión rusa de Facebook, expresó que es “naíf” pensar que se puede tener una aplicación de mensajería independiente y plenamente encriptada (imposible de monitorizar por terceros) en los EE.UU.

Incluso insinuó que otras aplicaciones de mensajería han sucumbido a las peticiones de las agencias de espionaje. “La encriptación de Signal (además de Whatsapp y Facebook) la financió el Gobierno de los EE.UU.”, dijo.

Edward Snowden, el confidente que filtró al The Guardian información acerca del trabajo de espionaje de la NSA, asegura que Telegram “lo lleva gente con buenas intenciones. Es mejor que nada, pero las opciones predeterminadas son inseguras y lo convierte en peligroso para usuarios poco expertos”. Sin embargo, su propio fundador en declaraciones anteriores aseveró que “las comunicaciones de Telegram no las pueden monitorizar terceros”.

El líder del Estado Islámico habría fallecido tras un ataque aéreo ruso en Raqa

Abu Bakr al Baghdadi habría fallecido como consecuencia de un ataque de la Fuerza Aérea de Rusia junto a otros 330 terroristas del Estado Islámico.

El Ministerio de Defensa de Rusia se encuentra validando la información recibida sobre el supuesto fallecimiento del líder del Estado Islámico, Abu Bakr al Baghdadi, que habría ocurrido tras un ataque de la Fuerza Aérea rusa cerca de Raqa.

El líder del grupo extremista islámico habría muerto el 28 de mayo pasadomientras mantenía una reunión en una zona al sur de la ciudad siria de Raqa, ciudad que cayó en poder del Estado Islámico en 2013 y fue autoproclamada capital del grupo terrorista.

En el ataque habrían fallecido cerca de 330 terroristas y altos funcionarios del Consejo de Guerra del Estado Islámico, entre los que figuran Abu Al Jadji —el 'emir' de Raqa—, Ibrahim Al Jadj —responsable del control militar de la región que rodea a Raqa— y Suleimán Al Shauaj —jefe de seguridad de la agrupación—.

El Ministerio de Defensa de Rusia habría recibido a finales de mayo la información sobre una reunión de los líderes de la agrupación terrorista para planificar la salida de Raqa de los combatientes, utilizando para ello el 'corredor sur'. El ataque habría tenido lugar a las 00.35 del 28 de mayo, con una duración aproximada de 10 minutos y fue ejecutado por aviones rusos no tripulados.

No es la primera ocasión en que los medios de comunicación internacionales informan sobre la supuesta muerte de al Baghdadi:

• El pasado 11 de junio, 'Daily Mail', citando a la televisión siria, informó que el líder terrorista había sidoneutralizado en un ataque aéreo, aunque aseguraba que los sitios web vinculados al EI no confirmaron la muerte de su jefe.
• En febrero se informó de que el 'califa' había resultado gravemente herido durante un ataque de la aviación iraquí en la ciudad de Al Kaim, donde los líderes de la organización terrorista se habían reunido para celebrar una cumbre.
• En octubre de 2016 se difundieron reportes según los cuales Al Baghdadi se encontraba grave tras haber sido envenenado junto con tres comandantes del grupo terrorista.
• En junio de 2016, varios medios comunicaron que podría haber sido herido en un ataque aéreo lanzado por la coalición internacional encabezada por EE.UU.
• En abril de 2015, se divulgó información según la cual había sufrido graves heridas en otro bombardeo.
