Un veterano socialdemócrata alemán se moja a favor del referéndum catalán

Bernhard Von Grünberg, del Rin Norte Westfalia, ve una "absurdidad" juzgar independentistas


ACN Barcelona .- El político socialdemócrata alemán Bernhard Von Grünberg reivindica el papel de Europa para resolver el conflicto catalán con España, un estado que cada vez le parece "más un sistema autoritario". "Como demócratas europeos no podemos mirar hacia otro lado", asegura el político alemán, que fue diputado del Rin Norte Westfalia hasta hace pocos días, cuando se jubiló. En una entrevista con la ACN, Von Grünberg, que el miércoles recibirá un premio de la Asociación de Publicaciones Periódicas en Catalán (APPEC), defiende que la falta de trabajo en memoria histórica en España es una de las causas de la falta de diálogo de hoy. Según él, es una "absurdidad" juzgar independentistas, porque en un sistema democrático "todo el mundo tiene que ceder".

Von Grünberg encuentra incomprensible que a pesar de las grandes movilizaciones pacíficas de los ciudadanos en Cataluña, sólo valga el "tú debes obedecer lo que yo digo y punto". Respecto al papel de la prensa alemana sobre la actualidad en Cataluña, el político dice que la percepción ha mejorado, que se sabe más, pero "todavía hay que explicar mucho más sobre el tema".

"Vengo a menudo a Cataluña y España porque me interesa la situación política", afirma Grünberg, que fue observador internacional de la consulta del 9 de noviembre. Como comenta con la ACN, todo el conflicto le ha llamado la atención porque tuvo que aprender la importancia de la memoria histórica directamente en su casa. Según Grünberg, esto y el hecho de que este conflicto se reduce a "tú debes obedecer a lo que digo yo y punto" es "incomprensible". Von Grünberg reivindica como la experiencia alemana demuestra que "todo el mundo ha ceder", y que se pueden encontrar caminos para salir de "situaciones problemáticas".

"Esto no funciona nada en España", lamenta, criticando la judicialización del proceso. "La persecución judicial de representantes parlamentarios catalanes es parte de esta absurdidad. No puede ser que cuando hay una incapacidad absoluta de diálogo, se escoge el camino judicial ", añade y avisa que" esto sólo aumenta el conflicto "e incrementa los independentistas.

"Como demócratas en Europa no nos podemos permitir mirar hacia el otro lado. Con la excusa de que no queremos otro conflicto en Europa, presenciamos sin decir nada como un sistema en España se vuelve cada vez más autoritario ", asegura Von Grünberg. El ex diputado alemán lamenta que los europeos "aceptar" Franco "hasta el final" y que por lo tanto ahora es su "deber" involucrarse en el conflicto catalán.


Von Grünberg está convencido de que se necesita una Europa nueva, más democrática y menos autoritaria. "No necesitamos sistemas autoritarios en Europa. No puede ser que haya un resurgimiento de los estados-nación cuando este modelo debería ceder a un modelo mucho más federal. Es muy importante buscar caminos para una Europa fuerte que no esté ni económica ni socialmente dividida ", sentencia Von Grünberg.

Grünberg afirma que el proceso catalán en Alemania "se percibe un poco mejor" y con "más claridad" en los últimos años. "En la prensa ahora se habla mejor en comparación con hace unos años, cuando se decía que era un tema de los ricos, como en el norte de Italia, que no quieren compartir", explica. Según él, "en Cataluña la sociedad es muy solidaria "." Me dedico a la política de los refugiados. Para mí es incomprensible que no se permita a Cataluña acoger refugiados, qué locura es ésta?
