SEEKING PEACE FROM WITHIN
Beloved masters, it is time to take an inventory of what you are thinking and the emotional energy you are projecting during these days of conflict, turmoil and stress on your planet. Are you diluting or distorting the aura of harmony you have created around you by allowing yourself to be caught up in the chaos of miscreation and destruction that is taking place on planet Earth at this time? Are you engrossed in the scenarios that are being presented over and over again via the television, radio and newspaper media? Have you once more allowed yourself to be drawn back into the density of the negative environment of illusion? If your answer is yes to any of these questions, you are fueling the chaotic vibrations of the world situation with your energy instead of adding your Love/Light/Power to that of other emissaries of peace around the world. Will you stand on the side of those whose greatest desire is to bring about a peaceful solution for the greatest benefit of all, or will you unintentionally align with those who wish to perpetuate separation, suffering and domination?


We do not mean that you shouldn’t stay informed as to what is taking place around the world, but we are saying that now, as never before, you must rise above what is occurring and join us as observers from a higher vantage point, a vantage point where there is no right or wrong way, only different shades of truth and different motives, a vantage point where no race, country or religion is totally righteous or blameless, nor totally in the wrong. Remember, each and every Soul on Earth carries a Spark of the Divine within. You must stay heart-centered and attuned to your Higher Self with a Spirit-inspired consciousness so that your actions and decisions are always in alignment with the Divine plan. Then, beloveds, you will stand among the ranks of the righteous ones whose greatest desire is to return the Earth and humanity to a true state of peaceful co-existence in an environment where our Father/Mother God reigns supreme.

Granted, there are those who have agreed to play the “devil’s advocate,” those who are presenting your shadow side to you in its most destructive way. There are others who self-righteously claim to have only the highest, most altruistic motives, but we see and know the ulterior motives behind the decisions that are being made, and the actions that are being initiated in the name of peace and justice. The game of duality is being played out on Earth in its most dramatic form right at this moment, and it is up to you as to whether or not you will be drawn into the swirling downward spiral of mass karmic action that is now taking place.

We have spoken many times before about the laws of cause and effect, or for every action there is a reaction, which results in what is known as negative or positive Karma. For many ages, you, as the en-Lighten-ed ones, have been working diligently to bring into balance your personal karma, ancestral karma and race karmic influences. That was a major part of the game of duality and polarity: returning to balance and harmony in all Facets of your Beingness. And so what will happen now as the winds of war, conflict and destruction swirl like a dark and heavy cloud around the Earth, touching and affecting everything and everyone? It depends on what you are feeling and thinking, dear ones, what is on your mind and in your heart as to whether you will stand firmly in the Light, or add to the negative karmic thought forms that are being created each and every moment. Many of you have succeeded admirably in balancing your Karmic ledger of life, and let us now call it that, your “Ledger of Life,” whereby you have a plus and a minus column and your goal is to turn the minuses into pluses or positive energy patterns.

We are not asking you to passively sit by the wayside and do nothing. You are being asked to stand up and be counted, for your dynamic Life Force energy is needed now as never before. You are much more powerful than you can imagine, my brave friends; you are playing an important role in attaining a peaceful solution to a very unsettling world situation. The energy you are radiating forth from your heart center has just as much an influence on the outcome of this great conflict as those who are on the “front lines.” You, too, are on the front lines, so to speak, for you have the ability to tap into the pure, unmanifested Creator substance and mold it into powerful thought forms and actions that can overcome any adversity. Those brave Souls who have been called to the battlefield, no matter which side they are fighting for, if they are doing so with a desire for true justice for all, and with compassion of Spirit for their fellow human beings, instead of hate, a desire for revenge and to enslave or control others, then they are functioning as righteous warriors, and the forces of Heaven are with them.

It has disturbed or confused many of you that we use the terms “Warriors of Peace” and “Warriors of Light” or what might be construed as militant terminology. Here again, there are many different interpretations and different facets of truth. Since the Earth’s and humanity’s fall into the density of separation and pain, we have fought diligently for you and with you. We have fought the shadows of illusion, and the negativity created by your mass consciousness beliefs of fear, guilt and unworthiness. We have fought to assist you to reconnect with your Divinity, and to help you remember how magnificent you truly are. We have diligently carried out the orders and directives handed down from our Father/Mother God and the Creator, “Assist our children to return to the Light and to reclaim their Divine Heritage.” Yes, we have been involved for eons of time in a war between the Light of the Creator and the shadows of humanity, but our weapons have been love, compassion, understanding and support as you traverse the valleys of despair and seek to soar to the mountain tops of hope and illumination.

If you will join us in our efforts to bring Light unto the shadow world and hearts of humanity; if you will stand firmly in your convictions that ultimately right will prevail (knowing that only our Father/Mother God are aware of the total picture and what is truly the best outcome); if you can maintain a sense of peace and joy within and radiate the expansive love of the Creator to ALL humanity; then you are truly a warrior in our Legions of Light.

Those who protest, shout and march for peace are adding their energy to the melting pot of chaos. They are not offering solutions or taking positive action, but laying blame and protesting the actions of others, while declaring that non-action is the only way to achieve peace and harmony. It is another form of fence-sitting, or not taking a stand. We have told you many times before, it is time to “get off the fence,” it is time to declare which side you will serve, the Light or the shadow side. It is time to declare either that you are an Emissary of the Light, a blazing Spark of the Divine, and a cocreator of love, joy, abundance and harmony, or that you are a human being who is willing to take the easy way by following the dictates of others, thereby, for the time being, putting aside your Divine Birthright.

“Peace” is an often-used word in these unsettling times, and it can be interrupted in a multitude of ways. You use the term “peace of mind,” which means having a calm, tranquil state of mind that is free of discord, inharmonious thoughts, or mental conflict. Peace can mean a mutual agreement between two people, a family, a group, neighborhood, city or nation, which benefits all who are involved, and which brings about a calm, serene and secure atmosphere, as well as lawful order. It can also mean a treaty or agreement to prevent or stop a conflict between two dissenting factions. You may be called a peaceable person or a pacifist because you are inclined toward or seek to promote a peaceful environment. You may “seek peace” or endeavor to “keep the peace” through conciliatory actions or by settling disagreements through compromise. Peace is the end result of achieving harmony and balance in any situation. Peace is never attained via the emotional nature or mind of the ego, but through the higher vibrational energies of Spirit, which always seeks the greatest/best outcome for ALL concerned. In your world of duality and polarity, the optimum goal is to seek harmony and balance in all things, but this harmony must begin from within. It must blossom within the heart as you allow Spirit to descend and once more take dominion within your physical vessel. Then you will begin to see through eyes filtered with love, and listen with ears tempered by compassion. You will know that all you ever require is yours for the asking, and you no longer seek to take that which belongs to another.

You always strive for a win/win solution, and you know that when one loses, everyone loses as well. You become champions of Light, and you walk softly but courageously as you carry the blazing etheric sword of Divine will, honor, truth and justice. You affirm what is your truth, and you live your truth steadfastly with integrity and humility, teaching by example, and you allow all others the same right. You must first seek peace from within, beloveds, and when you find what you are seeking, you will radiate an aura of peace out into the world where it will be joined and magnified by that of others with a peaceful and harmonious nature.

Together and in force, you can overcome any adversity, and you can create and enhance the cells/areas of Light that you are building on Earth, as well as in the Fifth Dimension. And when those thought forms of Light reach a certain level of magnification, they will miraculously begin to manifest on the earthly plane. Many of your visions are nearing that point and will manifest seemingly without effort. The final touches are being made and the preparations are almost complete, brave hearts; now watch for the wondrous results of all your steadfast efforts.

Humankind’s inhumanity toward one another has been an ongoing, never-ceasing process since the fall into density. Peaceful co-existence has hardly ever been the ultimate outcome of a conflict. The underlying intent has most often been to conquer, seize, and force others into submission without any consideration for the welfare of those caught in the middle or forced to fight.

We explained several times how the chasm between the Light and the shadows is widening, almost as if a world filled with the vibrational patterns of Light is being superimposed over the Third/Fourth-Dimensional world of illusion and shadows. This condition is becoming more dramatically defined every day. It is imperative that you stay vigilant, heart-centered and Spirit-inspired each and every moment. You must learn to set energetic boundaries, and to constantly reinforce your shield or column of protective Creator Light. You must listen to the whisperings of your heart, for it is there that your angelic guides and teachers will leave treasures of wisdom for you to access and use.

Go within, my faithful companions, and remember how, so many eons ago, we soared throughout the universe together, creating new galaxies, worlds and civilizations beyond your wildest dreams. Remember how you had available to you all the Divine substance of Creation, and all you had to do was reach out with your mind and mold it into form? Remember how all you had to do was envision something and it miraculously appeared before you. Try to remember the many forms you have taken, some human, but also many different forms in a variety of compositions, textures and features, but all beautiful and perfect in the eyes of our Father/Mother God. It is important that you remember that you have experienced every Root Race that has ever populated the Earth -- meaning that you have been every color, and you have borne the characteristics of every Race now embodied on your planet. We are telling you that you are a multi-faceted Being who has experienced all the richness and diversity that this Earth, this solar system, galaxy and universe has to offer. And so how can you judge your brothers and sisters, because in this lifetime they have different colored skin than you, because they have different customs, beliefs and worship differently or call their God by a different name? It has been said, but bears saying over and over again: “WHEN YOU DO SO, YOU ARE ONLY JUDGING YOURSELVES!”

Remember, beloveds, during these times of great change, you can make a difference. Shine your Love/Light for all to see. Allow us to assist you to fulfill your earthly mission and nurture you with our love. Together, we shall prevail. I AM Archangel Michael.

Why is Catalonia's independence inevitable?

A few months ago I wrote an article that had very good reviews . In it he mentioned that the problem of the Catalan conflict is that both parties have different rules of the game, and thus it is impossible to reach common agreements. 

Today I want to go deeper, and I would like to get to what I believe to be the epicenter of the conflict, which is the difference between Catalan and Spanish society . 

In politics, two large blocks have always been differentiated, the left and the right.But it is a simplistic classification that robs us of the possibility of using more adequate and understandable concepts.We call left or right two different types of approach because they are the positions occupied in the French parliament by the two great political blocs that emerged after the French Revolution. 
But really, the great divide in how people understand politics, would be betweenprogressive and conservative . 

As I like politics very much, I have very internalized these concepts, but if I had to define them quickly and eloquently to make them understand, this would be the way in which I would do it: 

Conservatism : Political thinking in which the laws or rules mark the behavior of individuals.

Progressive : Political thinking in which the behavior of individuals marks the laws or rules. 

An example of a conservative organization would be religions . In them, individuals must behave as their sacred books say. For years that pass, the rules will be the same and it is the people who must adapt to the laws, not the other way around. 

And an example of progressive organization would be the companies .Internal policies or ways of acting, will be adapted to the behavior of individuals.Companies observe the behavior of society to launch products or services that fit the mentality or current needs. The regulations of the companies will be adapted to the market, and not to the contrary.

We can take gay marriage as a fact that is differently interpretable depending on which political trend is judged. A conservative will argue that marriage is the union between a man and a woman, and anything other than that, it is not a marriage. Because this is what the laws say, it has always been the way it should be . 

Under the prism of progressivism, if we have reached a point in history we have seen that homosexuals are not sick people (as has been thought in many periods of mankind) and it has been shown that homosexuality is as natural as heterosexuality, laws have to be revised in order to accommodate this new thinking, to this new progress. Thus, laws must be rewritten and adapted to new times, to a new mentality. 

Is it better to be progressive than to be conservative? No. 
Not the other way around. Being conservative or progressive is a personal choice , which does not place us above the contrary thought. It simply indicates how we understand the world and how we think societies are to be organized. 
But a conservative is no better person than a progressive, and vice versa. 

What is certain, however, is that living together under one roof in such different ways of understanding life will never be easy. Never. 
And I do not discover anything if I state categorically that Catalonia is a progressive territory, while Spain is clearly conservative. 
Is Catalonia better than Spain because it is progressive? No. Not the other way around. But it is obvious that differences of thought are sometimes insurmountable to coexist together. 

Right now, the backbone of the Catalan conflict is the holding of the referendum on 1 October . And here the great difference of thought is reflected. 
In Spain it is argued that the referendum is illegal because the Constitution says so.It is the most convincing proof of conservatism. There are written rules to be followed, and the behavior of individuals must be adapted to what the Constitution says, as if the treatises signed in 78 were sacred texts directly descended from Mount Sinai. 
In Catalonia, however, support for a self-determination referendum is 80% , because a progressive will always agree to rewrite the laws if necessary. 

The clash between Catalonia and Spain is the clash between conservatism and progressivism . It is the struggle between those who do not want to change anything against those who want to reform everything. It is the permanent conflict between who wants to keep what he has, and who wants to change everything to progress.
Spain is a conservative and centralist state that does not fit the desire for progress of a people like Catalan, so the different attempts to get the coveted lace of Catalonia in Spain have failed . 

Because for a conservative, it is very difficult to accept that the rules of the game can change and irrefutable truths such as the Constitution, traditions and unwritten laws can be replaced by creating a new order in which concepts that believed immovable become obsolete . 

And in parallel, for a progressive is very difficult to accept that there is a barrier that can not be exceeded, that there arelaws that can not be changed , that there are places that can not be passed.

The independence of Catalonia is inevitable, because two different mentalities can not coexist unless one of the two wants to change. 
And at this point, I see unlikely a major change in either of the two parts . 

Because I believe that a profound change in Spain is unfeasible. I doubt that one day modify its Constitution so that the Catalans can vote . Let it become a Republic, renouncing the monarchy. That it discarded traditions like the bulls, already abolished in Catalonia. Accept that Barcelona is much more international than Madrid and that, for example, El Prat becomes the main airport in Spain. Become a federal state whereeach region will self-determine. Let go of centralism, conservatism, traditionalism. 

And in parallel, I do not see the Catalans resigning themselves to not being able to vote things that directly affect them. Give up being a republic. To accept that Barcelona will never surpass Madrid due to limitations imposed by an inflexible , Jacobin and immovable state structure . I do not see the Catalans resigning themselves to continually encountering a wall that would curb their progressivism, their innate entrepreneurship, their desire to advance. I do not imagine Catalonia accepting the burden of being part of a state whose structure will always relegate it to a second position because the state model prioritizes a centrality establishedmany years ago.
It is legitimate, legitimate and acceptable to mount a state thinking that centrality is a good system for the common good of the same state. But it is also legitimate, legitimate and acceptable not to want to be part of that state if you believe that this centrality stifles the desires for progress of your territory. 
Catalonia and Spain will no longer walk hand in hand, because they go to different places . 

If there is a reason why today independence is not the majority in Catalonia, it is because there are still many people with emotional and affective ties to Spain. There is still a lot of population with very latent links, product of being still descendants of the massive Andalusian and Murcian immigration of the years 60 and 70 (between which my family is by mother). 
As the Spanish settlement dissipates in the families to come, the embrace of independence will be the majority . There are statistical studies that situate 90% of those in favor of independence in those who have parents and grandparents born in Catalonia. By contrast, only 20% is reached in those in which none of their descendants was born in Catalan lands. 
The demography, irrefutable in its role, will be the one that makes happen of 50% of pro-independentismo to establish a loose majority.
That is why I have never understood that Spain has not allowed a referendum in Catalonia in the last 10 years, when the victory was assured, nor will I ever understand the rulers of Catalonia, in a rush incomprehensible for holding a referendum as soon as possible, knowing what to expect only about 10-15 years is to ensure a clear victory at the polls. 

It no longer makes sense to ask whether Catalonia will be independent or not . It is obvious that sooner or later will be a new state, when the feeling of strong Spanishness that still have those born outside Catalonia and their respective children vanish. It will then, when the emotion is within a margin, when it will be impossible to defend that a territory as progressive as Catalonia remains in a structure as conservative as the Spanish state. 

Now that it is no longer necessary to ask whether Catalonia will be independent or not, other questions are of interest to many. The questions we now have to ask ourselves are the 'how' , the 'when' and'under what conditions' . 
To the three questions I have my preferences, my wishes that I hope will come true. 
As for the 'how' , I wish with all my might that it be a 100% peaceful process .Because the independence of Catalonia does not deserve even a single drop of spilled blood. The unity of Spain either.

As for 'what conditions' , I also have a longing: I would like Catalonia and Spain to maintain a close and fraternal relationship. Because Spain is an incredible country , with splendid people, with an extraordinary culture and with thousands of things that unite us.Catalonia and Spain has not been a good marriage, but we can be great brothers . 

And also to the question of 'when' I have clear my answer: soon enough so that my father can see it.

Per què la independència de Catalunya és inevitable?

Fa uns mesos vaig escriure un article que va tenir molt bones crítiques . En ell feia referència al fet que el problema del conflicte català rau en el fet que les dues parts tenen diferents regles del joc, i així és impossible arribar a acords comuns. 

Avui vull aprofundir més, i m'agradaria arribar al que crec que és l'epicentre del conflicte, que és la diferència entre la societat catalana i l'espanyola . 

En política, s'han diferenciat sempre dos grans blocs, l'esquerra i la dreta. Però és una classificació simplista que ens arrabassa la possibilitat d'utilitzar conceptes més adequats i entenedors.Cridem esquerra o dreta a dos diferents tipus d'enfocament, perquè són les posicions que ocupaven al parlament francès els dos grans blocs polítics que van sorgir després de la revolució francesa. 
Però realment, la gran divisió en la forma en com la gent entén la política, seria entre progressistes i conservadors . 

Com a mi m'agrada molt la política, tinc molt interioritzats aquests conceptes, però si hagués de definir-los de manera ràpida i eloqüent per fer-comprendre, aquesta seria la manera en com ho faria: 

Conservadorisme : Pensament polític en el qual les lleis o regles marquen el comportament dels individus.

Progressisme : Pensament polític en el qual el comportament dels individus marca les lleis o regles. 

Un exemple d'organització conservadora serien les religions . En elles, els individus han de comportar-se com ho diuen els seus llibres sagrats. Per anys que passin, les regles seran les mateixes i són les persones les que s'han d'adaptar a les lleis, i no al contrari. 

I un exemple d'organització progressista serien les empreses . Les polítiques internes o maneres d'actuar, s'adaptaran a la conducta dels individus. Les empreses observen el comportament de la societat per llançar productes o serveis que s'adeqüin a la mentalitat oa les necessitats actuals. Els reglaments de les empreses s'adequaran al mercat, i no al contrari.

Podem prendre el matrimoni homosexualcom un fet que és diferentment interpretable depenent amb quina tendència política es jutgi. Un conservador adduirà que el matrimoni és la unió entre un home i una dona, i qualsevol cosa que no sigui això, no és un matrimoni. Perquè així ho diuen "les lleis", així ha estat sempre i així ha de seguir sent . 

Sota el prisma del progressisme, si arribats a un punt de la història s'ha pogut comprovar que els homosexuals no són persones malaltes (com s'ha pensat en molts períodes de la humanitat) i s'ha pogut demostrar que l'homosexualitat és tan natural com la heterosexualitat, les lleis s'han de revisar per poder donar cabuda a aquest nou pensament, A aquest nou progrés. Així doncs, les lleis han de ser reescrites i s'han d'adaptar als nous temps, a una nova mentalitat. 

És millor ser progressista de ser conservador? No. 
Tampoc a l'inrevés. Ser conservador o ser progressista és una elecció personal , que no ens situa per sobre del pensament contrari. Simplement indica la forma com entenem el món i la manera en com pensem que s'han d'organitzar les societats. 
Però un conservador no és millor persona que un progressista, i viceversa. 

El que és cert, però, és que la convivència sota un mateix sostre de tan diferents maneres d'entendre la vida mai serà fàcil.Mai. 
I no descobreixo res si afirmo amb rotunditat que Catalunya és un territori progressista, Mentre que Espanya és clarament conservadora. 
És millor Catalunya que Espanya per ser progressista? No. Tampoc a l'inrevés.Però és obvi que les diferències de pensament de vegades resulten insalvables per conviure junts. 

Ara mateix, la base troncal del conflicte català és la celebració del referèndum el proper 1 d'octubre . I aquí es veu reflectit la gran diferència de pensament. 
A Espanya s'addueix que el referèndum és il·legal perquè la Constitució així ho diu.És la prova més fefaent del conservadorisme. Hi ha unes regles escrites que cal seguir, i el comportament dels individus s'ha d'adaptar al que diu la Constitució, com si els tractats que es van signar en el 78 fossin textos sagrats baixats directament de la muntanya Sinaí. 
En canvi, a Catalunya el suport a un referèndum d'autodeterminació és del 80% , perquè un progressista sempre estarà d'acord en reescriure les lleis en el cas que sigui necessari. 

El xoc entre Catalunya i Espanya és el xoc entre el conservadorisme i el progressisme . És la lluita entre el que no vol canviar res contra el que vol reformar-ho tot. És el conflicte permanent entre el que vol conservar el que té, i el que vol canviar-ho tot per progressar.
Espanya és un estat conservador i centralista en el qual no hi caben les ànsies de progrés d'un poble com el català, per això els diferents intents per aconseguir l'anhelat encaix de Catalunya a Espanya han fracassat . 

Perquè per a un conservador, és molt difícil acceptar que les regles del joc poden canviar i veritats irrefutables com poden ser la Constitució, les tradicions i les lleis no escrites puguin ser substituïdes creant un nou ordre en el qual conceptes que creien inamovibles passen a ser obsolets . 

I paral·lelament, per a un progressista és molt difícil acceptar que hi ha una barrera que no es pot sobrepassar, que hi ha lleis que no es poden canviar , que hi ha llocs pels quals no es pot passar.

La independència de Catalunya és inevitable, perquè no poden conviure dues mentalitats tan diferents tret que una de les dues vulgui canviar. 
I en aquest punt, veig improbable un canvi important en qualsevol de les dues parts .

Perquè crec que és inviable un canvi profund a Espanya. Dubto que algun dia modifiqui la seva Constitució perquè els catalans puguin votar . Que es converteixi en República, renunciant a la monarquia.Que desestimi tradicions com els toros, ja abolits a Catalunya. Que accepti queBarcelona és molt més internacional que Madrid i que, per exemple, el Prat passi a ser l'aeroport principal d'Espanya. Que es converteixi en un estat federal on cada regió es autodetermine. Que abandoni el centralisme, el conservadorisme, el tradicionalisme. 

I paral·lelament, no veig els catalans resignant-se a no poder votar coses que els afecten directament. Renunciar a ser una república. A acatar que Barcelona mai superarà a Madrid per limitacions imposades per una estructura d'estat inflexible , jacobina i inamovible. No veig els catalans resignant-se a topar-se contínuament amb una muralla que freni el seu progressisme, la seva emprenedoria innata, les seves ganes d'avançar. No m'imagino a Catalunya acceptar el llast de formar part d'un estat l'estructura definida sempre la relegarà a una segona posició perquè el model d'estat prioritza una centralitat establertafa ja molts anys.
És lícit, legítim i acceptable muntar un estat pensant que la centralitat és un bon sistema per al bé comú del mateix estat.Però també és lícit, legítim i acceptable no voler formar part d'aquest estat si tu creus que aquesta centralitat ofega els anhels de progrés del teu territori. 
Catalunya i Espanya ja no caminaran junts de la mà, perquè van a llocs diferents . 

Si hi ha una raó per la qual a dia d'avui l'independentisme no és majoritari a Catalunya, és perquè encara hi ha molta gent amb llaços emocionals i afectius a Espanya. Queda encara molta població amb vincles molt latents, producte de ser encara descendents de la massiva immigració andalusa i murciana dels anys 60 i 70 (entre els quals es troba la meva família per part de mare). 
A mesura que es dissipi el pòsit espanyol a les famílies venidores, l'abraçada a l'independentisme serà majoritari . Hi ha estudis estadístics que situen en un 90% als favorables a la independència en aquells que tenen pares i avis nascuts a Catalunya. Per contra, a penes s'arriba al 20% en aquells en què cap dels seus descendents ha nascut en terres catalanes. 
La demografia, irrefutable en la seva comesa, serà la que faci passar d' un 50% de favorables a l'independentisme a instaurar una majoria folgada.
Per això mai he entès que Espanya no hagi permès un referèndum a Catalunyaen els últims 10 anys, quan la victòria estava assegurada, i tampoc mai entendré als governants de Catalunya, amb una pressa incomprensible per realitzar un referèndum com més aviat millor, sabent d'esperar tot just uns 10-15 anys és assegurar-se una victòria clara a les urnes. 

Ja no té sentit preguntar-se si Catalunyaserà independent o no . És obvi que tard o d'hora serà un nou estat, quan s'esvaeixi el sentiment de forta espanyolitat que tenen encara els que van néixer fora de Catalunya i els seus respectius fills. Serà llavors, quan l'emoció quedi a un marge, Quan ja serà impossible defensar que un territori tan progressista com Catalunya continuï enconsertado en una estructura tan conservadora com l'Estat espanyol. 

Ara que ja no cal preguntar-se si Catalunya serà independent o no, altres preguntes ocupen l'interès de molts. Les preguntes que ara ens hem de fer són el'com' , el 'quan' i 'en quines condicions' . 
A les tres preguntes tinc les meves preferències, els meus desitjos que espero es converteixin en realitat. 
Pel que fa al 'com' , desitjaria amb totes les meves forces que fos un procés 100% pacífic . Perquè la independència de Catalunya no mereix ni una sola gota de sang vessada. La unitat d'Espanya tampoc.

Pel que fa a 'quines condicions' , també tinc un anhel: m'agradaria que Catalunya i Espanya conservessin una relació estreta i fraternal. Perquè Espanya és un país increïble , amb gent esplèndida, amb una cultura extraordinària i amb milers de coses que ens uneixen. Catalunya i Espanya no ha estat un bon matrimoni, però podem ser uns fantàstics germans . 

I també a la pregunta del 'quan' tinc clara la meva resposta: prou aviat com perquè el meu pare pugui veure-ho.

The words 'tax haven' do not sound unfamiliar, but distant. We believe that it is not something that has to do with us or usordinary citizens, but the truth is that the money invested in tax havens  is money that corresponds to us as a society . 

It is money that the state stops receiving and that could be invested in social policies, so battered and cut.

We explain to you what is a tax haven, what are the most common and how we affect the bad practices of large companies.

A paradise without beaches or palm trees

One of the first problems we encounter when it comes to talking about tax havens is that it is difficult to define them. 

One of its main characteristics is that they are territories in which the companies  hardly pay taxes  or pay  a much lower taxes  than those that would pay in other countries where they market their products. 

In addition, they  are very opaque  and have laws that allow neither registered entities nor their owners to identify themselves. 

That is why it is an  informational bomb every time they reveal the names of investors in tax havens , as has happened recently with the  Falciani list.

For example, following the publication of this list Banco Santander had to pay more than 200 million euros to the Treasury.

How does that money end there?  Although it seems to lie in most cases in a legal way. There are gaps and legal gaps of which governments are accomplices. 

This is what we know as  tax avoidance . If it were not legal, then we would talk about  tax evasion . 

The fact that many are legal practices  does not mean that they are responsible or ethical . There is a big difference between contributing fairly to the payment of taxes or trying by all means to pay the minimum taxes.

It would be very difficult to explain in a simple way how big companies manage not to pay the taxes that correspond to them without leaving the legality. 

In short, what they do is play with the legal gaps of different countries and create  business networks without real activity behind, without workers, without productive facilities. They are companies screen, whose only purpose is to get paid few taxes.

The paradises that most sound to us

Some of the best known tax havens are Delawarein the United States, Ireland, Holland, Luxembourg, Switzerland or the famous Cayman Islands , among many others. 

Some of its characteristics among many are, for example:

• Delaware : You have a total tax exemption for companies that do not carry out any activity in the United States.
• Holland : allows the existence of mailbox or post office companies, which often have no employees. They simply register and have a seat. They do not need anything else.
• Luxembourg : does not meet the minimum standards of financial transparency, such as a register of real owners of rents, accounts and companies, or the existence of a mechanism for the exchange of tax information with other countries.
• Cayman Islands : it has mercantile regulations with great flexibility and with tax advantages.

A small note,  our country can also be considered a tax haven  thanks to the ETVE or Holdings of Foreign Securities. 

Designed to attract foreign capital , they allow foreign companies not to pay taxes for the benefits they obtain in our country, to which is added the possibility of receiving aid and tax rebates in Spain for the declared losses. 

In short, our country not only does not receive money for the profits of the companies, but  ends up paying these when they report supposed losses. 

Spain thus loses enormous amounts of resources which, however, do not generate real value, neither in Spain nor in third countries.

And we arrived in our country

Tax fraud  costs Spain 59 billion euros each year . This amount exceeds the public budget that was dedicated in 2014 in health.

The Spanish companies of the IBEX 35 , the companies that we consider the largest and most relevant of our country,  had 810 companies registered  in territories considered tax havens in 2013. 

And since the crisis does not affect everyone alike, according  to Oxfam Intermon's report  "The Fiscal Illusion" , IBEX35 companies have exponentially increased their presence in tax havens during the crisis, especially in Delaware , the Netherlands and Luxembourg .

As we indicated at the outset, tax collection is the state's way of securing money to secure social policies. 

However, in Spain, most of what it collects (90%) goes out of the pockets of ordinary citizens, while large companies find a way to not pay what corresponds to them, as we have explained. 

And this generates the increase of poverty and inequality. 

In fact, we are now  the second most unequal country in Europe , behind Latvia.

At this point, we must say that not only are companies responsible for tax evasion and avoidance,  governments  are also responsible because they have not worried about laws that force large companies to pay their fair share and close loopholes in the international tax system that large corporations exploit.

And what can I do

Several things. You can read the electoral proposals of the political parties now that municipal and regional elections are approaching. All parties without exception make proposals on this subject. Some do so in a very generic way, calling for the fight against corruption, money laundering, evasion / tax evasion / fraud and / or tax haven. 

It is important to analyze very well what concrete measures they ask for and how they want to comply with them, so that they are only theories that remain on paper and then are impossible to execute. 

This year is key because we have a   very tight election calendar .

You can demand political parties and world leaders to hold a World Fiscal Summit this July to begin building a system of fair rules for all countries. Sign the petition .

In addition you can keep informing you about what happens with all that money that escapes from Spain and that in a certain way corresponds to us all as a society.
