El FMI estima que la "vulnerable" economía global necesita nuevos planes de contingencia

La institución solicita a la comunidad internacional que mejore las redes de seguridad financiera, en especial las de los países emergentes.

 Este miércoles, el Fondo Monetario Internacional (FMI) ha asegurado que la economía global es "muy vulnerable a los choques negativos" y ha solicitado a Estados Unidos y otros Gobiernos que preparen planes de contingencia, que deberán poner en marcha con rapidez para impulsar el crecimiento, informa el canal ABC. 

Este organismo ha elaborado un informe en el que ha mostrado su preocupación por la "frágil" recuperación económica mundial, que se ha debilitado aún más tras la creciente turbulencia del mercado financiero, la caída de los precios del petróleo y la desaceleración del crecimiento en China y otros mercados. Por todo esto, el FMI ha llamado a reflexionar sobre las nuevas "redes de seguridad financiera", en especial en los países emergentes. 

La institución ha asegurado que las 20 economías más grandes del mundo deben seguir buscando estrategias de crecimiento y que las naciones del G20, que se volverán a reunir en Shanghái (China) los próximos 26 y 27 de febrero, deben tomar medidas de urgencia para impulsar el crecimiento.

 El Secretario del Tesoro de EE.UU., Jacob Lew, ha minimizado la importancia de este nuevo encuentro y, durante una entrevista televisiva en Bloomberg, ha declarado que "no es necesario esperar una respuesta a la crisis en un ambiente sin crisis", según publica el diario 'La Información'.
