The book of Urantia – The God of Action

In the eternity of the past, by the personalization of the Infinite Spirit the cycle of the divine personality becomes perfect and complete. The God of Action exists, and the vast stage of space is ready for the great drama of creation - the universal adventure - the divine panorama of eternal ages.

The first act of the Infinite Spirit is the inspection and recognition of his divine parents, the Father-Father and the Son-Mother. He, the Spirit, unconditionally identifies with both. He is fully cognizant of their separate personalities and infinite attributes as well as their combined nature and united function. Then, voluntarily, with transcendent disposition and inspiring spontaneity, the Third Person of the Godhead, in spite of his equality with the First and Second Persons, promises eternal loyalty to God the Father and recognizes the everlasting dependence of God the Son.

Inherent in the nature of this transaction and in mutual recognition of the independence of personality of each and of the executive union of the three, the cycle of eternity is established. The Paradise Trinity is existing. The stage of universal space is ready for the multiple and infinite panorama of the creative unfolding of the Universal Father's purpose through the personality of the Eternal Son and the execution of the God of Action, the executive agency for the actions of the reality of society Creator Father-Son.

The God of Action acts and the dead vaults of space are in motion. One billion perfect spheres come to exist in an instant. Prior to this hypothetical moment in eternity, the space energies intrinsic to Paradise exist and are potentially operative, but have no actuality of being; Nor can physical gravity be measured except by the reaction of material realities to their incessant attraction. There is no material universe in this (presumed) eternally distant moment, but at the very instant that billions of worlds materialize, there is sufficient and adequate gravity to keep them within the everlasting attraction of Paradise.

Now it crosses like lightning through the creation of the Gods the second form of energy, and this effluvium spirit is instantly apprehended by the spiritual gravity of the Eternal Son. Thus, the universe doubly embraced by gravity is caressed by the energy of infinity and submerged in the spirit of divinity. In this way the terrain of life is prepared for the consciousness of the mind manifested in the associated circuits of the intelligence of the Infinite Spirit.

On these seeds of potential existence, spread throughout the central creation of the Gods, the Father acts, and the personality of the creature appears. Then the presence of the Paradise Deities fills all organized space and effectively begins to draw all things and beings into Paradise.

The Infinite Spirit eternalizes concurrently with the birth of the Havona worlds, this central universe which is created by him and with him and in him in obedience to the combined concepts and united wills of the Father and the Son. The Third Person is deified by this same act of joint creation, thus becoming forever the Joint Creator.

These are the great and astounding times of the creative expansion of the Father and the Son through action and in the action of its exclusive and associated partner, the Third Source and Center. There is no record of these hectic times. We rely only on the few revelations of the Infinite Spirit to substantiate these powerful transactions, and he merely verifies the fact that the central universe and all that belongs to it eternalized simultaneously with its attainment of personality and conscious existence.

Briefly, the Infinite Spirit testifies that, since he is eternal, so the central universe is eternal. And this is the traditional starting point in the history of the universe of universes. Nothing is known at all, and there are no archives, regarding events or transactions prior to this formidable eruption of creative energy and administrative wisdom that crystallized the vast universe that exists, and which so exquisitely works at the center of all things. Beyond this event are the inscrutable transactions of eternity and the depths of the infinite: absolute mystery.
